  1. It was field grown , soon to be a gravel and sand pit. The cavity was at least 5' up as compost. It looked like a straight fell but I decided to demonstrate how to bore through with my new 088 that I purchased at the arb show.   2. Last summer, no sign of what was happening in the middle, till I bored through.
  3. I hate footlocking , it gives me cramp in my feet, funny cos spikes dont have that effect.

  9. Veg oil does seem to gunge things up a bit. But hey its got to be better for you than mineral oil when its being sprayed all over you and your inhaling the mist. As to wether bars and chains wear out more, well I use more chain in arb work that I did in the woods, mainly due to concrete, nails, metal brackets, wire etc.. and I use fewer bars, as the nose rarely explodes due to snedding.
  10. I had probs with a 357. Source was a split in the plastic pipe connecting the auto decopression bits.
  11. Bad news those bolts. I did the same thing a couple of months ago. I drilled the head out. Then got the blade off followed by a bit of physical on the stub and hey presto. I have recently had the feed rollers re-splined the nylon bearings re-machined and a new bottom motor for less than £ 500 inc vat . ( The motor cost £156+vat. from a hydraulics specialist , ready to fit straight in. TW want £300+ or more for the same part )
  12. Matt how about dragging a forwarding trailer round ? On when you need it off when you dont. The pic is todays play time.
  13. Am I right in thinking that there are more videos out there of this crew? I'm sure I saw one over at "the treehouse" ( folding the euc. you know if you have seen it )
  14. I just covered that in a 4 day first aid at work course. The training cost time and money but what I learnt could save a life or prevent one from being a miserable existence.
  15. errr just read post 33. and then read post 1. wrong AA.
  16. The AA have towed my car home lots of times but I never tried the insurance.
  17. I tried to sign up ages ago but my email was as flat as a tud . I pumped it up and its up and running now.
