  1. remember age is just a number! its how you look after yourslef that matters. Plenty of 20 year olds i know that a in worse shape that i lot of 50 year olds i know. Good diet, look after your joints, stretch , strength and cardio train regular and you will be as fit as a 16 year old.
  2. would love to find all that under the tree on xmas. Where can you buy those lamps from?
  3. accidents happen. looks like he knows what he's doing. seen vid before..and as others have said the groundie shoud have let it run / head was too big etc. Remember tree workers in u.s.a deal with larger trees more often than u.k climbers and know what they are doing.

  5. Yeah It depends on the size of your business and over heads. I often charge 350 a day for a 2 man team..but my over heads are low.
  6. Donated. Steve..did you say it was one ticket for 5 quid?
  7. deadwooding and thinning out that tree would take half day with 2 men. 450 seems ok rate?

  9. Costumer is was asking me if Armillotox solution will kill the honey fungus on his tree.? I know that Armillatox ltd claim it kills honey fungus etc...just looking for advice on this chemical. Any other chemicals that work better on the market? I read removal and stump grinding is best option and burning stumps is ineffective.? Cheers.
  10. People are like that...as soon as they get bill ..even if you have done great job they will look for some reason not to pay you. A- Holes
  11. I have an Ldv. 60,000 Miles omn clock and mechanically sound. Looks like a something i picked up from scrappys for free though!. You have just inspired me to go rip of thiose ply-board high sides and use metal sheets. Your ldv looks good. very nice.
  12. Is that a pic of you on your avatar Skyhuck? ...dam your a ugly fecker!
  13. Yeah no probs. Though you might been tied in to tree behind it..but had second look...its too far away. lol. plenty of good firewood there.
  14. Don't want to cause friction here...but i don't think its very safe to climb a trunk and section it down like that...unless you are tied in? Might flip etc.
  15. what a cracking tree that it is. looks cool with all that snow on it.
  16. I have e-mailed you. Martyn
  17. Sad. very young also. the report said the chainsaw kicked back striking him in the neck. It seems that many of the people that have died from kickback in trees have hit themselves in the neck. just off the top of my head - there are protective chainsaw sleaves on the market..why not make ballistic nylon log sleeved tops with neck protectors.
  18. Yeah stump was killer. Used the power washer like you recommended. blunted 4 saws and then gave up with that idea. instead we just battered it for hrs with axes to knock concrete & dirt off..and managed to roll it out.
  19. oh yeah. after that e-mail i ain't touching it.
  20. e-mail i just got back..after i told him i would like to come pick it up! Hi Martyn, I am sorry the price is not negotiable because due to working away you can't pick it up, I would prefer to deliver the chipper on my expense of course... Yes now is a new engine. So, if you are still interested to buy it for my asking price please let me know so we can start the transaction. Many thanks, Harry
  21. he says he wants to pay for courier costs..so i don't need to come ick it up..though its not that far away from glasgow. I would rather go have alook at it before i buy.
  22. Cornwall seems like a fair hike. lol. Though if it is good nick i would be hapy to come pick it up . Could you get picks?
  23. I am 95% sure i am wanting to buy this ..except 1 little thing that doesn't add up. Timberwolf tw125. 2OO2 model. just under 1000 on ebay...but he will take 1,600 for it. Thing is ..he says it only has 125 hrs on it . :confused1: first time buying chipper so don't know what to look out for. 2002 Timberwolf - woodchipper on eBay (end time 25-Nov-09 23:02:45 GMT)
  24. Windy in Glasgow. much worse towards dumfries though. 80mph gusts. Raining in heavy in Glasgow..but thats nothing strange.
