  1. Is this offer still on the table?? Seems too me to be a fantastic opportunity!!!
  2. How would people feel if this was a thread for house holders arguing about why they should bother paying "extra" for a trained, insured, tree surgeon, when it so much cheaper too use the guy who knocks on the door??? Just like all the other "paper work", training and insurance is all a load of crap to make the government money.
  3. I have known him for 30 years and been buying saws of him for 20 years, he will always do his best to match any other price, but I will pay him a "little" more for the service he gives me .
  4. If a dealer has has "invested" and bought stuff in, are they not entitled to make extra profit?? As long as you agree the price before delivery, how is that a rip off?? If things are too expensive, don't buy them.
  5. Just burn all arisings on site!! No dragging, no mess .

Its called "the duty of care" Why do you think I have to insure my employees but not myself?? I asked the HSE at the APF if would be prosecuted for not having a climbing groundie as the owner of the Co and the climber, they said "no", but if you employ a climber you "MUST" have rescue climber, again its "duty of care".

In the last 5 years they have threatened all sorts, and most of it has not happened. If you employ a climber you are already putting your kneck on the line, thats why I do all my own climbing. But as a self employed climber very little has changed in the last 5 years, in real terms. And, IMO, as this recession/depression bites they are not going to risk jobs by making any real changes.

  15. If its not cutting (like a hot knife through butter) with a new chain, I would say the bar must be shagged, if its very worn the chain will rock over too one side and not cut well. But PLEASE keep both hands in the correct handles at all times, the 66 will take no prisoners, you need too be in total control at all times. If it won't cut with ease, STOP and investigate the problem
