  2. I would only add, clean the air filter before touching the carb.
  3. I know exactly what you mean!!!
  4. I bought a petzl, I got sick of having to strip it down and wash the strap, because it stinks I've gone back to a husky.

  9. In the snow a few weeks back I was absolutely staggered by the performance of our disco 3, its on big wide road tyres, but it was awesome!!! I watched a coper in one, towing an arctic up a hill.
  10. Yeah me too, mine was a 200ft Oak I dropped it between a £2M house and their garage with 2 Bentleys, a Lamborghini and Aston martin in it. But sorry no pic's:sneaky2:
  11. Indeed, I've had a 130 2.5, a disco 2 td5 and now a disco 3 2.7 v6. The v6 pulls like a train compared to the other 2.
  12. EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! In this country we have far too much legislation with very little if any enforcement.
  13. If a tree is dead I will spike up it, I find this gives me better feel for how sound it is. Dead wood can be knocked by a throw bag or a lump of metal, at least a throw bag is not adding further danger. You say a tho bag only lasts you 6months, I find mine last for around 5 years. I think smooth movement in the tree is mostly down to the cord used and the skill of the operator (I ain't that good:blushing:) Yes chainsaws are dangerous, but there is not really a viable alternative, here we are talking about successful tools to do a job, the throw bag is safer in my view and thats why a use it. If someone came up with a safer tool than the chainsaw that did the job as well or even nearly as well, I would probably use it.
