  1. What a wuss!!!! Why did he have his hands in the the air????? the other guy did not even have a gun????????
  2. I sometimes get asked to book them in for next year, I always ask them to just give me a ring nearer the time.
  3. I just ring another customer. I prefer to do the the work when the customer is at home if I can, or at the very least see them first thing before we start. I always say "can we just run though the job to refresh my memory", but in reality its more about reminding them of the work agreed:sneaky2: before they start any "while your here and can you just"
  4. I ring every customer the night before we are going to do the job. If I ring and their not in I go else where and try them another night.
  5. Is it "dead, dying and dangerous", or "dead, dying or dangerous"??? Because if it is the latter, clearly it does not need to be dangerous to be notifiable.
  6. If its dead, but not dangerous, you can just notify (as a courtesy) and fell, as a TPO does not cover dead trees, BUT a replacement is required.
  7. Could come back fine next year. We had some mature Beech turn completely brown in August a few years ago, they were fine the following year and have been ever since.
  8. The person threatening to kill your wife is the evil twisted freak, not you. Refusing to not carry out their demand is the only right course of action. If you could not face life without her would it not be better to take your own life rather than the lives of innocent people??
  9. If my wife were capable of slaughtering 1000 innocent people, she would not be the person I married. And my wife did not, nor would she, have married or wish to have married a man capable of such an act.
  10. The "tiny gob" almost claims another victim
  11. But those 1000 people are peoples wives, mother, fathers, sons, daughters, etc, etc. Wallace is talking about retaliation toward the perpetrator, not the mass slaughter of the innocent.
  12. Thats the thing, if we were face to face, you can read body language and things don't get so heated. On here its so easy to take something the wrong way or something you say to be taken wrong.
  13. Really!!!!!!! I thought you were a Christian????????
  14. Looking at this story from a my own moral point of view. I do have a problem with working on trees without the owner consent, I feel that we should respect properly as where would it stop??, it a form of theft IMO, but to save the lives of any of my family I would be prepared to breach my morel code. The TPO, I have less of a problem with, thats just a law and the law is often an ass. TPO's are often a nonsense and I would argue its morally wrong to force someone to keep and maintain something for the benefit of others. The land owner with the drug is scum for not sharing his drug at an affordable price. Johny is a fool for dropping the tops on the road, if you are going to do wrong for good reason you should at least take great care to limit the wrong to the absolute minimum, his recklessness has undone any good he was intending.
  15. You a fan of the new Robby William's track :confused1:No, never heard it
  16. "Better crack on or we'll still be hear when its going dark" and a big smile.
  17. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had never realised you only did light pruning and only felled dead trees!!!!!!!! Because obviously felling a live tree is putting finance ahead of tree health!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Love it Stevie!!!!!!!! Life is never black and white. And there are always 3 sides to every story, your side, their side, and the truth.
  19. I have climbed 100s of trees with old sealed spike marks that are not infected.
  20. I do use a file handle (well normally a short sub off a small branch) but no file guide.
  21. To be honest I only ever look at the top of the tooth, I don't really see how if thats right the side could be wrong??? I never use a file holder, just a file.
