  1. Brake parts are one of the few reasonably priced parts, pads are under £100 per set and disc's are around £100 each. You could not wear out a set in 3 months. Some one is pulling your leg.
  2. I used to work for God and Jesus, but I quit.
  3. 6 monthly LOLER I would think and oil and filters yearly.
  4. MEWPS over 3.5t can be run on red, so fuel would not be an issue. The servicing thing sounds like BS to me, Merc will do you a service plan on a new mog for about £250 a month, covering every thing but tyres.
  5. Don't give up on it. I was asked a couple of months back to take out what appeared to be a dead Yew (very brown), went to do it today. When I got there it was looking much better, one side was greening up and the other side had little green green shoots on the tips of the brown branches. So we are going to wait and hope. I think it may have just been the very dry spell, plus some ground works done around it. I had another Yew a few years back, that came back from the brink.
  6. They will want it, but won't want to pay you.
  7. Yes, but only my pruning spikes!!!!!!
  8. Fill it, then weigh it. Measure the out side dimensions and calculate the volume. If its bunded, it will weigh much less than it should for its volume. I doubt its bunded.

Just get a hankie, tie some knots in the corners, fill with cotton wool or grass and Bobs your uncle!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. What was the reason for using wedges?????????????
  11. What are the targets?? Is the customer happy to have a little work done and then monitor the tree??
  12. Remember, if you kill it you have to eat it
  13. With air brakes they allow you to go faster with the 24t, 40mph instead of 20mph with hydraulic brakes.
  14. More and more cutters chasing less and less work.
  15. I think that will be JCB's max design tow weight. As far as I know 24t is max train weight for Ag vehicles.
  16. Don't tease, he'll be getting all excited!!
