  1. Just stick your old 020 on ebay, you will get £150+, add the £200 and your not far of a nice new saw. Far better than a tarted up old dog, IMO
  2. wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Yes I noticed that When the 020T first came out it had a thumbscrew type knob on the filter cover, these were a real pain, they came off all the time, the cover was also black making it very difficult to find once it had fallen off!!!! They changed to the current slotted fixing and made them bright orange, problem solved I really hope this new fixing is not a backward step.
  4. Why would any one pay an accountant up front???????????? Situations such as as this are why I never ask my customers to pay in advance.
  5. I know a fire man who had a similar problem, so he had a wank into his butter or as he put "I had a manual into the butter" (he's from Newcastle way)
  6. This is a very commonly used term over here. It simply descries the cut, you are using two cuts (one either side of the branch or stem) but rather than the two cuts meeting you have a "step" between the cuts. It also describes the end of the cut wood which is "stepped".
  7. Its a real compliment to be given such a job, they clearly have tremendous confidence it you!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Indeed, but this does not affect your feed back % rating.
  9. They are ever green, so when was it "out of leaf"?????????
  10. I came home from school to find one Sycamore on the house and another being prevented from hitting the house by a large beam our neigbour had wedged between it and the corner of the house, each time the wind blow the beam bent like a bow. The guy I first climbed with had worked (subbing) for Devon council after the storm. He had some very funny storys. The TO's were overwhelmed so they were told to just drive round looking for trees with storm damage, if they saw a group of fit birds near a tree in a park they just stopped and started dismantling it. They were also banded from a country club as they kept blocking the filters on the Jacuzzi with wood chip.
  11. Mine did have no stress, but the spool block went buggered and I put a cheap pattern one on, so no more stress control. Its not a problem as me and my groundie know the chipper well and have no problem controlling it.
  12. You appear to think you are an expert in every field, even business
  13. Err.......... mostly the vast increase in property development:001_rolleyes:
  14. Mine has 5 V belts that are tensioned with a sprung loaded tensioner, if I put through a piece of 9" Oak without stopping and starting the rollers, the belts just disintegrate and the engine rev's don't even drop.
  15. Depends what you use to drive the chipper with, I have a 9" chipper being driven a 245hp unmog, all 9" tow behinds are very poor in comparison.
  16. A few years ago we had a blow that kept us busy for three weeks solid, while we were doing that work the other work kept coming in and we booked it for after we had finished the storm damage. The storm made people more aware of their trees and so IMO generated extra work on undamaged trees. How on earth does a storm reduce regular work??????????????????
  17. That hat is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Dead as a door nail mate, not a leaf on it and right behind one of the "T's" on a golf course
  19. Few pic's from a Beech we battered today
  20. This Lime had Kretzch, the TO had gone to the address to look a Horse chestnut and spotted it. The was very little die-back the crown, but it had snapped clean off at the base and was resting on the Sycamores behind. The owner had not noticed.
  21. Get it down, IMO, too much risk.
