  1. No wonder I could see no difference Just tried it properly now, much easier to use, don't need to keep enlarging to click the buttons. Can't find a "unread posts" button though, is there one??
  2. I think its the truth, he's a gardener, not a climber.
  3. Do I need to go "through" the app to come on here?? Or as I have the app will it just work when I go through safari on my phone???
  4. What does tap talk actually do????? I got it for my iPhone, but then used my son's without tap talk and could find no difference when when coming on here.
  5. I'm pretty sure thats not true. They defiantly have a scale they use to work out the value of the tree, it takes into account its amenity value, etc.
  6. IMO, you we well and truly stitched up, the Laurel was a shrub and outside their jurisdiction, and you were only "maintaining" the Limes, so the conifer was your only crime (that they could prove). You should have appealed, IMO. If the Limes were not TPO'd, but only within the CA, I think the fact that they had agreed to them being pollarded without placing a TPO on them makes their case very weak indeed.
  7. They have a scale for working out the value, I forget what its called.
  8. But are the fines not based on the value of the tree, so if you destroy a tree you are fined the full value, if you have not damaged or devalued the tree on what basis can they fine you????
  9. Should read "Destroying":001_rolleyes: (spell check )
  10. I have been asked to apply retrospectively by an LA, as they had a back log of applications and would not be able to process the application within the 8 weeks. As far as I'm aware you can only be prosecuted for "damaging" or "distorting" the tree, so I don't see how they could prosecute you if you have only carried out BS works.
  11. That would be a very slick setup Tom!!
  12. If it was only punning works and done to BS, you could just make retrospective application. Then no offence will have been committed.
  13. My dealer records the numbers of ever piece of equipment I buy, so if something gets stollen I just ring him and he gives me the numbers.
  14. I can only speak from my own experience mate (please see my signature) Since getting my mac I have had hassle free use, no more screen freezing or "program X will not respond, please restart" I turn it on and it just starts, unlike the microsoft laptops I've had that took ages to get going. I find using this mac a totally relaxing experience, unlike my previous 3 laptops which used to drive me up the wall.
  15. I got a new Kodak printer (the ink is much cheeper) it works wirelessly no problem for the mac. Not had any real problems with mine, I just down load what ever software I need form the app store.
  16. No virus's, much more user friendly. Never get any running problems. Just hassle free computing, I'll never co back to microcrap.
  17. Get a Mac, problem solved.
  18. On most larger hard woods you would need a climber anyway, to remove crossing branches etc. So its not really replacing a climber. I would really like one of those grabs, it would speed up dismantles, as I would not need to strop the top of the stems, just "grab and cut", I would also not need a man on the trailer to remove the strop (he could be doing other things, like blowing the site clean) A C Price have one of these grab's with a saw, I need to borrow it for a job and see how it goes.
  19. Not sure you would get that round the back of Mrs Miggins house, come think of it round here you would struggle to get it to the front of most places.
