  1. I really would not see a problem with the owner of a tree choosing to have it carved, how is that different from felling a tree and making something from its corps????
  2. How is 7 seats perfect for 9 children?????
  3. Who mentioned saws?????? You on the beer mate???????
  4. No, I mean I use my rope strop/lanyard round the stem, with my main line also round the stem, as "back-up" in the event of the strop/lanyard being cut.
  5. Never use one, prefer a rope lanyard, backed up by my main line below.
  6. That comment would suggest you have not done many crane jobs Tony.
  7. Yes I had this a some years ago when I bought a 4x4 renault megan from Motor Point, it was a new 03 plate, although they had not made that model for quite a few years.

  10. I'm pretty sure you could have disc's or drums at one time, I don't think its particularly an age thing, but I could be wrong, the hubs on that look like drums to me, but the pictures not great and as I say I could be wrong
  11. Why does the fact that your saw was not big enough make you think the trunk is not shuck?????????????
  12. You can't get an age related plate thats younger than the vehicle. Even private plates can't mate the motor appear younger than it actually is.
  13. "Really big trees" and a novice don't really mix, well not without possibly disastrous consequences.
  14. Its on an age related plate, I think Y is 83. The Q plates tend to be much older than the year first registered in the UK.
  15. Ever heard the term "tongue in cheek"????? Lighten up mate
  16. It looks like its on drum brakes, if it is its not something I would want.
  17. I have a customer, two guys in there 70/80's. I called round to look at a small hedge reduction job for them. Before I left one said to me that the really appreciated the way we work, apparently another firm had been removing a largish conifer two doors away and the guy cutting kept revving his saw, they said "It was like the noise of his saw was some form of advertising, it really got on our nerves, you never make those kind of noises and your right in our garden!" I wonder if his saw was blunt or he was just one of those muppets who gets off on revving his saw between cuts???? Never had a comment like this before.
  18. Those wheels look like they will be great off road.

  20. They all had/have their fault, but the clutch assemblies are identical.
