  1. Interesting, can you elaborate further please. I'm just starting to use a SJ, only had a play on a Sycamore in the garden so far. Under what situation did you find it didn't lock off?? I've shortened my bridge, bringing SJ in very close in, meaning I can pull above the SJ, seem to work well.
  2. Its not easy. I'm involved in a new school build, the LA have diverted a path and they are having problems, if someone decides they don't want it diverted they can make life very difficult.
  3. Indeed I am very, very far from that stereotype. I'm nearer to a carnivorous, earth rapist, with a carbon foot print the size of Wales
  4. The referendum is not for two year, I would put money on Osbourne not being the chancellor by then. And Cameron is not doing to well, so there is always a chance Boris will make a bid for the top before then too.
  5. Could be Boris by then, how would he go down with your country men???
  6. Don't worry Tim it will soon be time for you guys to disembowel that offal sausage
  7. What utter and complete unadulterated nonsense, IMO. The fact that you think the St Georges flag is the flag of Britain just about sums up your understanding of history.
  8. Please tell me where I have been rude???
  9. Stop what??? Go back and read our posts. I have asked you questions and put forward my point of view. You have thrown insults, made assumptions and told me what me what I think.
  10. Veiled digs???????????????? You clearly take yourself far to seriously.
  11. The members of the choir sing their hearts out in the pouring rain deserve medals!!!!!!
  12. Been out most of the day, so watching on the telly just now, very impressive. I also watched the program the other night with all the family films, was really interesting. Many countries would love to have the history our great nation has, lets be proud and enjoy it!!!
  13. Please go read some history books
  14. Must you always resort to belittling or insults when your argument looses ground??? As for killing for survival come on, we eat far more meat than we need, most of it for pleasure not survival and many live without ever eating meat, some don't even take dairy. I don't carve, so won't be carving living trees, but I see nothing wrong in someone choosing to carve or have carved their own trees. As for not wishing to argue, this is a discussion forum, so debate is pretty much the whole point, its only your attitude that makes it unpleasant. PS, trees don't heal, they seal
  15. So now it's me that has to spell it out. You claim a tree cannot be owned, but you are happy for an animal to have its life taken for you to eat it, surely you accept that an animal has more rights than an inanimate plant?? Wow this is hard work, I thought it was a pretty simple concept to grasp.
  16. Not stereotyping at all, just trying to point out the hypocrisy in your argument
  17. No one is suggesting anything like that. But a nondescript tree could be turned into a thing of real interest by a skilled carver and the reactive growth would be of great interest too, IMO.
  18. I don't do film shows. My car exists whether I'm here or not and I do own that. Trees do not think, they are not sentient beings (unlike my daughter) so IMO can and are owned. Do you eat meat or even vegetables???/
  19. My word, you get really upset, really quickly I was only offering my point of view
