  1. I'd want it felled, not because of safety, but because it looks hideous.
  2. The 330 is a very different beast to that, much heavier and more power full. The one on ebay looks to be later than I thought, so properly post 2000. wood chipper | eBay
  3. I saw some patio furniture just left outside on a patio, can I take it?????
  4. The Highways may have told the land owner to sort them or they may just be waiting for their own men or a contractor to get to them
  5. The blue dot suggests its being monitored by some one, is that Esp lane??
  6. She felt guilty and so payed up, great result. Makes you wonder how much cheeper the other guys were and wether she still saved money???
  7. Makes me wonder who all people are who support children in need and countless other charities, I guess they must all be immigrants Talk about doom and gloom merchants
  8. Some good tips on there, I particular like the "ask to quote last" idea
  9. Very, very good machines!!! If its the one on eBay it does look pretty old, you would need to check its modified to meet current HSE regs
  10. Not any longer those who are higher earners (not sure of the figure, around £45k I think) are no longer entitled to Child Benefit. Yes those on NMW may well be entitled to some benefits, but they will not be getting any where near the £500 cap and they are obviously not scroungers as they are working, it could be argued that its their employer who is being subsidised? But unfortunately there is a quite a large sub culture of people who think we who work hard to pay our own way are mugs and that sitting home doing as you wish and just waiting for the "free money" from the state is the way to go, many are 4th generation, never worked, no intention of ever working.
  11. WOW, really you don't know??? You really are showing your ignorance. JSA is the very lowest benefit a previously employed person can receive, most are on "Income Support", "Housing Benefit", "Council Tax Relief", "Child Benefit", etc, etc......... As I posted earlier there is now a cap of £500 per week, many were on much more.
  12. The voice of experience
  13. People tend to label others based on their experience, if people have experience those who take illegal drugs to be less than idea human beings can you really blame them for expressing their view?? As for thinking doing a mile per hour or two over the limit is in anyway comparable, I really don't get it. Drugs change people, thats their whole point, I guess many don't think its for the better. I've personally never taken drugs, just don't feel the need or see the point.
  14. Mines 200HP, but only 9", when I see videos of small chippers with the stop, start of the "no stress" kicking in I find it very strange to watch.
  15. You don't need to be able to buy a saw or use it to be involved in tree work.
  16. Sorry don't understand the above??
  17. PUWER applies to employees, not the self employed, I don't think many employers give their staff ported saws and even if they did what specifics about ported or imported saws are you saying break PUWER?
  18. Totally agree with this. IMO, if consent to fell is given the TPO is removed and place on the replacement tree. So now you can do as you wish with the one with consent for fell.
  19. Its not as simple as that by any means, however drug taking is illegal plain and simple, to compare the two is utter nonsense, IMO.
  20. No, my son is 17 and my apprentice, he has already taken three of his saw units and his chipper ticket, all through Myercough Collage. I believe he is the youngest person they have put through saw tickets.
