  1. Not been my experience. My son has very limited experience and has no issues with the 2 550's he's owned (one having been stollen)
  2. My Macbook Air is still working faultlessly had it over 2 years now, just bought the Mrs one for xmas, never again will I waste money on Microsoft garbage.
  3. Did you qualify for the insurance, could you have made a claim? Thats the crux of the whole PPI situation, it was sold to people who could never claim, hence the "miss selling". I have borrowed about £100K over the last 15 years, but I always refused PPI as I knew that being self-employed I would not be able to claim on it. I would imagine that the PPI for a business account would be designed for the self-employed and that under the correct circumstances you could have claimed, which would mean it was not miss sold.
  4. My son is nearly 18 and my apprentice, he passed his basic tickets a few months ago, I got him a 550xp with 15" bar, its been ideal for him to learn with, it was stollen a couple of months ago, I replaced it without hesitation with another 550, great little saws, IMO.
  5. Is it the same size pipe as plastic air line on trucks?? if it is you can get a push connector, if there is enough pipe, you could cut out the damage and reconnect with one.
  6. Another big plus with landies is there lack of depreciation, they hold their money extremely well.
  7. IPA is Indian Pale Ale, goes back to the days of Empire I think, I like it.
  8. Excellent idea!! Can you ride a unicycle?? I could 20+years ago and still have one in the shed, but not tried for decades.
  9. Just picked up a few more, well done every one, I was pretty sure we would beat last years total!!
  10. Absolutely!!! I pride myself on it!!! When customers tell me what they want I do my damnedest to deliver just that and when people recommend me I know they know I get things done and feel confident I can give their friend the same excellent service I gave them:thumbup: I guess you are just good a letting people down gently and getting them to accept less than they were hopping for, a real "No man":001_huh: Each to their own
  11. I would argue that I'm a more skilled driver than a 90year old granny, however the speed limits on public roads for both myself and the granny are the same.
  12. He who pays the piper names the tune. I just hope none of you who say the customer is not always right don't ever work for me. I have no time for rude customers and will invite them to take their business else where, but I run a service providing company, people pay me to give them what they want.
  13. Also looks like a Dadio felling cut
  14. The end grain does not look very pink.
  15. Yes really, Any liftable lengths up to 6' goes on my boiler, meaning I've not paid for heating in 20+years. All timber in lengths is sold by the arctic load. I also don't want have to cover someone untrained collect timber from my site on my RA.
  16. 25 miles is a long way in a fast track, not that bad in a landy.
  17. Would it be worth a "freedom of information" request to the planers requesting all documentation discussing the tree with regard to the development?
  18. You don't need to have crash to get those
  19. Thats just me, I don't do ladders
