  1. Well it's a tricky question. They lift a load but they don't lift it over people or people and they're shouldn't be anybody in the 20m zone. Also the operator is protected by ROPS and FOPS. So from what i got on my FMO course they don't need to be. We have ours tested though. Out of interest though LOLER isn't that bad in Finland they have to get the cranes xrayed every 2 years to check for damage.

  6. Great lens and great effect. If you have Flickr check out the Nikon 24mm tilt shift lens page for some fantastic shots. It's ment for doing perspective correction when photographing buildings. Although if you shift the plane of focus around you can get a mega deep depth of field. Infact i may hire one for a weekend.
  7. Nice pictures. I wondered how you got the odd DoF but tilt shift explanes all.
  8. How big is the memory card? If its too big it won't recognise it. I have one xl and it had issues when updated it. Turned it off and on a few times and it worked.
  9. The bio oil from clarkes is good stuff just the right mix of sticky to runny. I find plant oil too sticky.
  10. 575xpg auto tune all the way. It's new design and balance means you don't notice the extra weight.
  11. FMO traing is so expensive. About 80 quid an hour to run a harvester! You also need the timber to put it in. I've been forunate and had very good lads from colleges work with me. Acording to the teachers so don't even bother to turn up to their placements. You can't tar all the newbies with the same brush. I have worked with some people with a shocking knowledge of forestry and they were fresh from the Scotish school of forestry.
  12. Finding the stuff to run the corses is the problem. I went upto Yorkshire to do mine with some guys from this forum. Some places will winch it over to run the course. Other places won't do it and wait for a blow.
  13. Shogan? Trooper? The nissan version of those i've had 2 navaras both around 30mpg both with dam good service from Nissan. Nissan is about 3 miles from my house which is why very convient for service and spares. Wouldn't have another Toyota after i had a falling out in the service department. Best advice is if you live next door to land rover and dont mind the issues that come with one then get a landy. If you live next to ford get a ranger. Really they're all much of a muchness anyway.
  14. Make sure you use your local NFU rather than the national line.
  15. Seems pick ups are expensive to insure. I use NFU. 07 Navara They want just over a grand thats with 5 years no claims and my NFU mutural bonus! Thats the cheapest too.

  19. Makes sure the saw is sharp and well sharpened so it doesn't cut up or down. Let the saw do the work if you try and force it you'll cut a curve.
  20. Look for the draw maked smörjnippel as for tap and die you'll just have to look. Nice work though.

  22. OH they can be! On some of the hill climbers in scotland they put some 8" deep cleets on for extra traction. Most places you just need those 1-2" knobles for extra grip.
  23. Yep they make a big difference. They tend to slip around without the little spikes.
  24. Nice although those tracks look a little slack. Those little spikes make a massive difference. As do those wider eco tracks you've got there.
