  1. I ended up making the Handle from some Pine that my mates Barn was buildt from in the 1600's. I made a guard from half a Brass Bush, then shortly after lost the Knife.
  2. Tipped over two Fallow when I was home in New Zealand. Shot them on public land,45mins from where I grew up. No permits,Deer Stalking Quals,Camo wearing Gun Stock Ammo holder bipod torch on the Barrel, range finder etc.
  3. I use a Ms192 for reductions and little section fells.I bought it in the States for about £200 brand new.It came with a 16" Bar which I was a bit skeptical of,however after porting it it really is the mutts nuts for pruning. The long bar means less reaching.
  4. I bet its not. I was on $440 per six and a half hour day back in 1999,logging in BC.I had left a Cable Logging crew in New Zealand ,where I was on $220 for 14 hours with one hour travel each way. I realized more at the end of the week in Canada and Alaska than I have done working anywhere else. The cost of living in New Zealand has as previously stated risen drastically, and wages are often 30% less than in Aus. Scandinavia payes well, but the taxes are drastic and the cost of living is enormous.
  5. Probably best off winching them into the Crown with a GRCS or similar.
  6. No. The "use in connection to equipment" would be a for example a Concrete pump carrying concrete,or a mobile crane carrying its counter weights. I tried this route in Norway when I bought my Mog.Welding the Chjpper to the linkage was not enough because the linkage was designed to be removed. These are EU wide regs by the sound of it. Your going to have to use and pay for the Mog as a Truck.Or sell it and buy a Tractor.
  7. Bash it down the track in one,cut it into bits the Heizo can eat and blow it into Skips or Grain Trailers. Easy day for two.
  8. Really need to see more pictures of the Tree and know what kit you have or can hire in. Details such as is the chip and log staying or does it all a have to leave site, makes the difference between one and five days.
  9. Had he done more buggering you might not even be here! Just be thankful you are!
  10. How does he get the "Skyline" tight without breaking it?
  11. Propper Axe Man you are mate. How many Ton,have you extracted? 2 or even 3?
  12. Sorry to hear about that mate. Thanks for letting us know about it.
  13. Once my Rope got a Soaking in Aviation Fuel,i just tied it to a Tree and threw it into a River.Next morning it was fine.
  14. Ropes are made from Plastic,Plastic comes from Oil.
  15. You really don't need to buy a "pro model" saw for your occasional usage. If you ran a "semi pro" saw eight hours a day for a month a year,I would expect it to last 12 or more years. Having said that, buy what feels right and is up to the job. So perhaps think about it that way.
  16. I used one for a week. Its ok.Nothing more than ok and has a "cheap" feeling about it.
  17. Muggings still occur in places of high gun ownership. They just occur at gunpoint, albeit less frequently.
  18. These are the best Polymer wedges available, the Sthil ones are soft and over priced.
  19. It is one of these. FN Model 1949 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  20. No. A Ross is a manually operated straight pull action.
