  1. Morris Dancing Sadly I live in Norway, thus without an abundance of other Morris Dancers we meet up every sunday to Dance together virtually. Such fun.
  2. Check the earth on the solinoid, it might earth to the pump through its body or it might have a separate earth. Disconnect the positive wire and try touching a hot wire to the positive feed, you should hear the solinoid click open. If you have a multimeter check function of the switch on the dash. Is it a double function rocker switch? Press the top bit and the deck goes up, press the bottom and the deck goes down? Check for continuity on the wire(s) going to the solinoid. Its hard to know what to say without being there and seeing it.
  3. Alot of good points made on this thread. Few people argue the price over here, they accept it of they dont. I went out to quote a job on saturday an hours drive from town. I told the woman what the minimum price would be for any work that far out before I left. It was 3 days work with the Valta,25 spruce trees and she accepted on the day. Today she texts and cancels or rather just wants a price for the 5 trees closest to the house. I the price I gave her was 50% of my original quote, she argues it should have been 20% since its 5 not 25 trees. I told her reducing the number of trees dose not reduce the distance from town, it just means I drive the tractor for longer than I use it and the cost of that is higher than having it chipping. She pulled the whole job. Happy.
  4. First thing you need to look at is how to get a work visa for Finland. Contact the Finnish Embassy in the states for details. Embassy, Washington - Finland abroad: United States of America Sweden and Norway are relatively easy to gain work permits for.
  5. I have seen 600m of 18mm Tail rope wipe the blade ram off a D7 as it ran through the corner block.Smashed it clean off the pivot.
  6. I see your point, however the problem with dickheads on a forum is that once no one argues with them any longer they simply pollute every thread with their ramblings. Sometimes they act as though this is their "domain" to do as they wish.We have had more than a few of those over the years.
  7. Winchropes on dozers end up as a terrible mess on the drum. I fear you might regret putting 100m on her. Depends on how often you use it though I suppose?
  8. Half the population is below average intelligence Saul.
  9. No, thats not needed.
  10. "even why some forum members are desperate to be seen as the one to call out what they suspect is BS" Because they enjoy Reindyr hunting? I also enjoy a good Witch Hunt too.Although flying Broomsticks leave few tell tail signs, some of us can still track them through Cyber Space.
  11. Norway
  12. Yes I dropped it with a single shot. Small ring Mauser chambered in 8X57JS.
  13. I have obscured my face to deter the legions of willing young damzils who may tempt my virtue.
  14. This thread is getting a bit nasty. Did you know I shot a big Reindyr buck a week or so ago, would anyone like to see a picture of it?
  15. I liked the older style filters the best, they were also pretty much "stupid proof". If you reverse a modern filter and blow air at it from the intake side, how are you not doing anything other than what the filter was originally designed for? Its really a screen, not a filter,as in everything apart from air is ment to stay on the outside of it. You seem to gain a bit of free "adhesion" from the oil in the fuel sticking to any filter which helps.
  16. Nor in my 25 years in the game. We used to wash and oil the old filters.
  17. I had a tracked dumper that was a self loader,we used to pile it high with long branches, put a ratched strap around them and reverse it out of the site. Saved one hell of alot of work.
  18. Over here someone would have shot the seal and eaten it.
  19. Is the deck on the LB wide enough to fit your tipping trailer on Josh? Could you weld two channels to the deck for the trailer wheels and just pull the trailer on with the crane?
  20. Sounds good to me!
  21. So what you are really saying is that you dont like people using a conduit to contact you, that you have advertised for them to use? This surprises me as its up to you to manage how clients contact you out of working hours, voicemail, txt etc. I havnt answered my phone for about two months now.In the past I would never consider calling anyone back who for example called 16 times in a row in a frantic attempt to contact me.If they cannot understand I am not answering the phone and choose instead to harrass me,I choose not to service their requirements. Its up to you to manage your business, not alter peoples behaviours and certainly not whinge on an internet forum about it.
  22. It wouldnt have been as funny if I had written " Khriss is a twat" on both drums.
  23. Kit value minus 20% if all bought at once. Percentage of profit to be negotiated by purchaser is what sets the value. Sounds like you are selling a job, not something " Suzy and Bill" could buy without intimate knowledge of the industry. Unfortunatly tree buisnesses without a manager and capable of offsite operation arnt worth alot, unless your compeditors are looking to increase market share. If you just shut down, then your compeditors get a percentage of the market for free, if they want all of your share then they have to negotiate for it.
  24. Just fitted a new rear spring and U bolts.I broke the spring last week. I will do the other side when I can be arsed.
  25. @Khriss
