  1. Thought this was pretty cool http://www.pagetutor.com/trillion/index.html
  2. Thanks Mick. If you have any "moves" to add, please film them and post on you tube.
  3. Or....we could have a special dance? Like this one? [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3TK0MEtM-E&feature=related]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3TK0MEtM-E&feature=related[/ame]
  4. Maybe try and get hold of some soft strops and save the chains for the Trunkwood.I really don't like using chains,I find them hard to work with and as you say, they get heavy fast!
  5. Looks like you did a good job there Glen! Never seen that make of chipper before, any good?
  6. I really try not to lift any big bits of wood or Rings like I used to.I don't want to end up with a bad back. Most of our clients want the wood, and in cases where it is to come off site,I'll go and nab it with the Hi Ab.
  7. Never got on with the "saw pod". I went through a stage of wearing my silky inside the pad of my spikes.Used to have velcro cinch type pads,it worked well but I did feel like a bit of a.....
  8. I don't know how common a problem it is Dean, but mine has done two Hard drives in two years. In fact its been back to the shop seven times during two years!Because no one thing has gone wrong three times, they won't give me a new one. I just think that sometimes you buy a machine that was built when everyone involed in manufacture had a hangover.

Take it mate! Your overseas for new experiances, pick it up and run with it! Best of luck to you!
  10. I have no problem with people harvesting their own meat. There is no "nice way" to kill anything. The Faroe Islanders appear to be using motor boats and wearing wetsuits to make life easier for themselves.Perhaps they could also use firearms to make the death of their quarry swifter?
  11. A mate is a lineman from Perth WA,he and several other guys from the company he works for have gone down there to help reconnect the electricity in the effected regions. As for treework,I doubt it very much.Considering trees are wood and it was a fire.
  12. That truely is a great video! I would like to see more of that,it would make a interesting addition to a website advertisment.
  13. Thankfully I have never had to rescue someone from a Tree. I like the idea of a second rope over the installed throw line.Having the rope pre installed means there is no chance of the throwline coming off the end of a rope in an installation attempt. For me,tying a few half hitches in the cold is bad enough, cold, tired, and in a hurry would mean an even greater chance of losing the Rope off the throwline. Not having a go at Monkeyd, just my thoughts on it.
  14. I have only breif experiance working for a large company,it was a nightmare for all the reasons that have been listed. With regard to the managers not having spent time on the tools and being out of touch with the workers, then I suppose the change needed would come from workers aspiring to and then gaining managment positions.
  15. I like the chipper idea myself. You could expand the topic by showing a history of their use in Arb and how chippers have gone from a "some have" to a "must have". Might be a different and refreshing angle for your Tutor?
  16. Well done mate! Great job by the looks of it!
  17. Holy smoke! Did you pay that in Auckland?
  18. Chain goes round? What is this magic you speak of?
  19. Looks nastly mate.Hahahahahhahahahhahahah.
  20. I have a 4X4 truck. However as a personal/quoting vehicle is 2wd.Its the first time since my teens that I han't had a 4x4 as a daily driver. I would like a 4X4 but is not really needed.
  21. CHARLIE DON'T SURF! Seriously,I'd go. By the sounds of it,your mates know the score.
  22. Looked like a tidy job mate! That wood will burn well once its seasoned for a while.
