  1. I buy my parts and equipment from the UK or Germany. To be honest I find the Germans alot more knowledgable and easy to deal with than the Brits. Typically when I call a parts department in the UK I seldom get the same person twice, have to again go through my order and often the incorrect parts arrive. In contrast should I order parts or buy equipment from Germany,I normally get a Email or call asking wether I recevied the parts or how the machine is going. Recently I discussed coming over to the UK to see a 9" tracked chipper in action, when I called the same company to order some blade bolts I got some indifferent hobbit telling me they wouldn't send them to Norway.Presumabley they were happy to sell a machine worth one thousand times as much as the bolts for export, but puting some bolts in a parcel was to much trouble. Result is they are not the only Dealer that sells that machine,so my interest will go to one of their compeditors.
  2. Personally I like the 177. It shoots a bit flatter and in my opinion head shots are the onlyreliable killer on Rabbits with a typical air rifle. So using a larger caliber with a more curved trajectory dosn't make alot of sence.
  3. I really don't see the problem with there being two climber on the Spar when it was topped out.As has been stated the load was within the capacity of the equipment and the integrity of the Stem. I think its alll relative to the size of the timber and rigging tackle you are using.
  4. Well put Stevie. Thanks for sharing that with us,glad that your ok.
  5. Big project mate, well done! Love the sound of that engine!I would take the sound of a big Diesel over a sports car any day.
  6. Great set of pic's mate! Got to love the "no clean up" jobs.
  7. Titainium Buckinghams with Velcro pads. With 4" Fir Gaffs.
  8. As above, driving to Hastings from gatwick on a wednsday evening. How long will it take and as I am navigating off a Sat Nav are there any faster routes than it will offer?
  9. Have you tried or been shown the correct way to shoot off a sling? Most slings are designed to just carry the Rifle comfortably,an old style target sling is as stable as a Bi pod unless you are watching game through the scope for longer periods. And yes. You can carry the Rife with it. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaRCFpH27-w&feature=related]YouTube - Improving your shooting #7. Using a leather rifle sling.[/ame]
  10. Did you get the Ammo holder on the stock and the bi pod from the "Andy Mc Nab tactical accessories range"?
  11. As like more than a few people I have thinned Poplars. However out of all the Trees I have worked on they are one of the few that are unsuitable to have near a house. Fell it. Plant an Oak Tree.
  12. Happy Birthday you old bastard!

  13. I can appreciate paying more for a quality machine, and I think in the right application and for the right person that machine would be a winner. However in these tight times the asking price might automatically disqualify it from the lower priced but adaquate competition. If I were to buy one and then pay import duty,I would be looking at around £40K. If I really, really wanted a Schelising I would be more inclined to purchase a second hand model and pay some extra for reconditioning. Thats my opinion anyway.
  14. One of these would be great for Squirrels and other "Vermin"
  15. The Bunnies would indeed find it no good sir.
  16. Dragon slayer in 50 Caliber! I hope to get one in time to go home with it and possibly back a Deer or a Pig with it. 225grain projectiles 192 footpounds of energy! BRAVO!
  17. Good thinking. We just have to work in Steep boggy terrain and I am sick of finding "important" things to do when we use the Turfor/
  18. I am fabbing up a winch mount for the Chipper. I also need a winch for the mog, fast axels and a machine gun on the roof.
  19. Getting ready to pull the chipper off the chipp pile it had just got stuck on.
  20. Note to self.Tie top onto lowering rope BEFORE felling top.
  21. I have the cable and controls to change the throttle to the rearon my Jensen. However I lack another Mike to bloody do it. Fancey a holiday Dean?
  22. Put an extension on your flipline. A bit of wire rope with splice eyes in each end or even a chain. If you don't plan on cutting when your on the flipline then a peice of rope works well.Double it over as its easier to grap, you will have to really fip it on the biggies.
  23. Good idea Dean. But in my experiance any electrics, switches, solenoids etc, just can't take the vibration.
  24. Mine would also have "Instructor" on the front.
