  1. I liked that mate,good job!
  2. To be honest it was crap. The distance from the feed roller to the cutting disc to too far.The Limbs would fold back upon themselves and jamb. As you probably know, there are two Anvils in the infeed. The smaller the gab the better. It may be gapped from the factory at about 5mm,try and reduce this to as little as possible. Of course once you have the Anvils gapped to the distance you require, turn the cutting Disc by hand to ensure clearance. The feed Roller spring was not strong enough, somtimes the groundy would stand on the Hydraulic motor so it would feed.Perhaps consider replacing the Spring with a stronger one. On the upside, the machines are stoutly constructed and simple.
  3. Tilt the deck, then tilt the cab.You will have heaps of room to do what you need to do. Also if I get my Arse into gear and send you the pages of the workshop manual as I said I would that would help alot too.I have told Josh to remind me. Its his fault if I don't.
  4. I had a chipper like that... It was fine for braodleaf trees without leaves and good for round wood. You would certaily have the velocity to throw the chips into a rear chip body. However the chipper was appalling with Connifer,so bad in fact I sold it. The model I had was a Farmi CH160,I had a Finnish guy who was working for me at the time call the factory in Finland and ask why it was so bad.The said it was for bio fuel production and never intended for Tree waste.
  5. To be honest,I think the chap is more at risk from the fashion Police for having an imperfect crease on his shirt sleeve. Bad form indeed.
  6. I run an Alcohol fluid in the Air Dryer of my Mog year round. Its a white box on the same side as the Batery box.It has two settings, one for summer and the other winter.I understand that in addition to purging the water from the Air in the system it also helps prevent gunk from forming in the lines.
  7. The Bonnet on my Mog is Fiberglass.I don't know if thats standard? The Doors are deffinatly Steel,I nearly folded in half when I lifted one off the hinges.
  8. PM me your email address and I will scan the air systems info and shoot it over to you.
  9. Company logo. | Tredoktor Click on it Stevie.Go on.click on it.

  11. I will leave a Stub David. To be fair it will be the first time I have done, thanks for your information regarding ideas like that. Funny thing is...one of the Staff at the Museum is a Carver. Some of the other Trees we have removed on this site are going to him for practice. I will have a word with the Manager tomorrow and see how I get on. Thanks again David.
  12. Old parts are often worn out or hard to obtain.Much like old Mogs, they are often wornout and good ones hard to obtain.
  13. Thanks for the replies.I reckon that the removal of such a large limb so close to the Trunk will probably be the beginning of the end for this tree.I suggested they plan upon its removal within ten years. I has grown to big for its location in addition to the problem above.
  14. Here is another one, with a Crab on the defect for scale.
  15. Here are some pictures of a job we have. Before I climbed the Tree,I was unalarmed by the unusual adaptive growth.I presumed that the Branch had at some time in the past been attacked by Bacteria and thus a Callous had formed. That may or may not have been true.Upon climbing the Tree, the top of the adaptive growth has died, the wood splintering and a crack has run longditudally from the Callous towards a large fork in the Stem. I intend to remove the large limb entirely. This is part one of a phase removal on this Tree. The building that the Tree overhangs is of significant historical value and in addition is frequently used to hold concerts and meetings. The hazard this limb presents is unacceptable to the clients and myself. Had the Tree stood in a less used area then perhaps a light reduction of the limb would have been the right idea.
  16. A peice of House Guttering would run the Oil away. Those suction devices sound like a good idea, but as most Sump Bungs are magnetic, wouldn't any Swarf build upon the sump bung over time and never get cleaned off? Every now and again when I change the oil in our plant,I drain the oil and then pour a couple of liters of Kerosene into it.It washes out some of the crap that gets caught on the casting and machining marks.
  17. Welcome mate.I am sure you will find the forum helpfull and entertaining. Its helped me alot.
  18. Wee Rowan Removal with Hi ab.
  19. If it has an eye on the tail, attach the eye to a spare tool loop at the rear of your harness using a Cable Tie.
  20. Bloody shocking! Not only have they stolen your "Cat" someone has written "Tree Warrior" on the Door of your wagon!Thats almost worse then "GAY" written in Pink under a Rainbow with Dolphins jumping over it. No respect.
  21. Worth every penny mate.
  22. Does it hurt you Feet wearing Spikes without Shoes Ross?
  23. Aspen in the Fuel Tank,Rape Seed oil in the oil tank is what we use.
