My Fungi knowledge is limited and not really sure what this is, can anyone help. It looks almost like Daldinea concentrica to me. Its on a Sycamore which is showing signs of decay around the base of the tree close to these fruiting bodies. Many thanks for your help. Jay

  9. i dont have much experience so you may not agree but use a crane, there so quick can drop it where you want, but then you have the road. can you close it.
  10. yer could of done with a tripod, did our best but its alot of work to keep up with the speed of a crane if your on the ground, i couldnt beleive how quick it was coming down and large peices to. was a good job though for my first crane job.
  11. i have got some stretch airs and i dont think there all they are cracked up to be, they are so much hotter than the hi flex trousers and alot more bulky, the stitching is terrible mine are all frayed around the knee patches. the worst bit is around the flies, the stiching on mine came out after a couple of days and now are afunny shape. and then there is the massive saw dust bucket on the back, which is just a funnel for saw dust to get in your trousers and annoy you all day. Has anyone else had problems with the stitching or any other problems with them. Jay

  22. there is cs46. arboriculture ground worker. dont know what it covers but there is one.
  23. After alot of hard work and hours typing late at night i finally finished my National diploma in forestry and arb. This was a 2 year corse at Otley college. I have also passed CS30, 31, 38, 39, 40 and 41 all from the training i got from college. so pretty pleased with that. And i only had to pay for 2 of them. I was one of the first arb students at Otley for a few years so got to use all the new kit and try a range of different equipment. For the first year of the course i think it was a good course and has set me up well to enter the industry. Since i started The course the arb department has grown hugely and they now do loads of courses and are starting 10 week courses and know a few of you are hoping to do a tech cert there next year. Good luck to anyone else at Otley or anyone else going there, hope you enjoy it as much as i have and get as much out of it as i did.
  24. I climb with 4 wraps and 3 braids. i used to climb on 4 wraps 2 braids but was a bit hit and miss if it held or not. but i have never had one slip badly and dont eally know how to tie i exactly. but just played around abit till somthink worked.
