thats fine whilst they accept that but why put themselves at risk I dont think it,s us thats a special case most quals have a full expiry date which nptc have fought hiab, mewp, crane, cpcs, cta plant, and now HGV to name a few and as i say what would happen if they decided not to accept you word that you know what your doing the time and work you could stand to loose as well as letting another company get a foot in the door. again just my opinion and this is my last post on this thread as i would like it not to be seen as my crusade and there may be others with differing views:thumbup: This is not aimed at you dave this is aimed at anyone

not been funny but in time if you want to go for contracts with reputable firms or LA ect your tender will not even be looked at even public have asked me for proof on quals ect as when tpo consent is given this leaflet is sometimes sent Leaflet "Treework - Choosing your Arborist" tbh if you are planning on doing trees for several years to come why fight what will inevitably cost you work which IMO is silly As a seperate point the HSE are running a series of FREE workshops around the country for folk that contract work out and most of them are already FULL When i have been on mine on the 28th April I will enlighten you on what is suggested to be required. I for 1 would not give out any work to unqualified or non compliant company,s as if anything goes wrong MY neck would be on the line for not checking or enforcing So may be worth considering what you may be loosing rather than bitching and carrying on or stick your heads in the sand and watch compliant firms grow as you shrivel up:confused1:

as you say i am an assessor not an instructor so make NO money from updates not that that makes a difference to what,s right and wrong
  19. makes a nice table:thumbup:

I have both and i personally think they are important and yes if you have 20 21 22 if anything happened and they were called into question you would need to have proof of refresher training or updates and certainly the equipment has changed a lot over the years so I dont think there unjustified I personally would not let you climb on my jobs without as you would be on MY insurance and i could be held liable for non compliance and all that malarkey:001_tt2:
  21. cheers for that I knew it was something like that:thumbup:
  22. can i borrow it mozza as long as it,s still in readable condition and the pages not all smudged and stuck together asked for 1 but never turned up:thumbdown:
  23. as i believe helmets are not VAT exempt unless they are bought complete with ear muffs and visor:biggrin: so buy complete and most of the muffs are paid for by the nice vat man rather than complaining should we not be thanking the vat man for a few concessions
  24. I thought that was a nice simple over view tbh we can all pull fault with some parts of any video there is. 2 main things came to my mind as it was done for lantra 1 I think the choice of tree could of been better I think that many would have suggested a mewp for a dead tree like that 2 I would of expected to have seen spikes on the climbers feet could nit pick but don't think this should be a critical thread again:biggrin:
  25. :thumbup:you thought the same then:thumbup: great minds and all that stuff
