  3. Obviously a fair amount of weight but never been a problem tbh Certainly picks it up easy and when lifted hitch locks off anyhow. We have run like this for about 20 yrs and no probs.
  4. used to teach and paddled a lot all over this country and abroad. done lots of big water and drops and swims haha. sadly arthritis and age and too many dislocations have stopped me. Just sold my last boat and that was a sad day. My mate runs a centre in Llangollen and will still have a dabble when we pop down. kayak coaching
  5. You can't beet curling one out
  6. wait till no snow on ground chuffin cold here
  7. can anyone recommend a wood turning forum?
  8. I have the still battery saw and tbh it's great for by the chipper as no starting but mainly use it in the garage. Superb for fencing and joinery type stuff. BUT it is not a petrol chainsaw replacement and it would always be an extra saw They certainly have their place but I am sceptical as to how usable they are in reality. As silky does most stuff I would use the still one for but usually I am doing enough cuts to be bothered to use the chainsaw where as pruning I believe I would use the silky!
  9. Surely you charge off the chipper. Through a converter The idea is certainly nice but would be a luxury for pruning IMO as would not replace a petrol one and tbh most pruning nearly as quick with a decent silky
  10. I generally go with le ski http://www.leski.com/ Can't recommend them high enough tbh
  11. As usual did not win anything but amazing how many prizes and how much raised. Well done Steve and well done to all the prize sponsors as an amazing charity to raise all that money in the current economy.

only if you just drive to 1 job then home nothing else at all so be realistic and get it done before you loose everything and then have to still do it no good been an ostrich

  20. off to france on sunday:thumbup: 3 valleys and snow looks good but a bit too warm. Anyone else going anywhere. If i dont dislocate my shoulder again will be booking another just had a bit of trouble getting insurance due to shoulder history and recent knee opp and a few other ailments so a big loading and a £500 excess.
  21. 2 tins of campbells comes out fine but remember to empty the tin first
  22. My belief is you should be able to prove you are competent or booked on a training course that you would need the saw for. If a dealer is found selling saws without checking then stihl or husky are taking a very strict view on wether to allow the dealer to carry on been a trader. This is the same for any saw ie if you have got CS30,31 then the shop does not need to do a handover as you should already be competent and aware of fuels and safety issues. Hope that makes sense
  23. But also pls remember the craftsmen are also unlikely to make any money out of the hrs they put into whatever they make. I know i certainly spend a lot more money than i could ever recoup and would be unlikely to make £5 an hr if i did sell stuff. It is generally a HOBBY
  24. with all wood it depends on drying time about 2 yrs if 1 inch thick. Dependant on where you dry it.
  25. not got the fogyegsteps
