  1. Ours is pretty dry, except by the hole in the roof! Fine for storing kit. Security wise I rekon they can be as good as anything else. It's is all about slowing them down, or making it easier to go someplace easier. If you line them with ply, that can slow unauthorized entry down, as metal cutting tools don't cut wood well. We still chain all the saws up, again just to slow them down. By the time anyone got in the alarms and cctv should have alerted us to any intruders!
  2. We "reduced it..." . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...Ok yes we topped it... I recomended the fell but the customer was very fond of the tree! It had recovered well and looked OK.
  3. No TPO or conservation area or I would have said...
  4. In this case the neigbour has cut back beyond their boundary and also a large portion of the tree which was over a public foot path. They have gone well beyond what is reasonable IMO. They must have trespassed to do the work, and they have rendered the tree worthless now.. I will let you know what happens.
  5. To be fair we had "reduced" the tree back in 2009 (the before photo is from google in 2007) as the neighbour was moaning. I had recommended felling as wrong location for the tree etc, and did not think the neighbour would be happy. The customer is always right however and was very fond of the tree. It had responded well and looked OK with a rounded crown. Neighbour took it upon themselves to prune back to boundary and some! The tree owner now NOT happy and wants redress from the neighbour! Looks like it's not only the tree that is getting ugly! I have done a CAVAT valuation of the tree before the unauthorized prunning for him.
  6. One of my clients is not happy with some pruning undertaken by the neighbour... The last photo is the before shot.
  7. Cheers for that!
  8. It's got to be green...
  9. Cheers, we currently run our splitter of the tractor but would be better if it was stand alone, as the tractor could then do other stuff!
  10. Have you any pictures?
  11. One for sale on the ebay... And there was a timberwolf on a landrover a few years back. Wood chipper shredder vehicle mounted Green Mech | eBay
  12. We tried a fingerbar hedge trimmer on a compact tractor last year, had it for 3 days on a variety of hedges but it took longer then doing it by hand.
  13. Are you leading a fungal foray Tony?
  14. I can't make it but sending two of the apprentices..
  15. Cheers to those who liked my page! Once you get to 30 it's a bit of an anticlimax... The stats are not that interesting!

  17. Another one. Needs the benny hill music! Canopy Tree Services | Facebook
  18. Surely a chipper is "humane," it's going to be pretty instant..
  19. It's my first go at the time lapse. I quite pleased with the result. I think I need to increase the number of shots per min and a bigger garden so I can get the camera further back would help! Reducing a hedge in Castle Donington:
  20. That's what I was leaning to. Thanks!
  21. Pic's might be helpful!
  22. On a willow
  23. Saw this while surveying a tree for the environment agency. I reckon it would make a good arb truck. Pig ugly..
  24. Brought an old SWB colarado earlier in the year, it's a 2000, cost less then £3K. Try and buy a 90 for that. It is the 3l turbo diesel. Bit thirsty 25-28mpgs, but very comfortable and will happily pull our 2.2ton chipper.
  25. We were always happy with them, untill they quoted us silly. They still do our trucks but that may change. It was nice to have a local office to call and a named advisor. They paid out when the saws were knicked too.
