  3. not sure why you are having issues to be honest. Won't any other spliced eye cause the same problem. Pic might help?
  4. Congratulations Steve! well earned recognition for you and all the moderation team. Also the Arbtalkers that add quality to the forum. Arbtalk is a true Industry asset which benefits all of us in so many ways! Fairplay to the AA
  5. Glad you are alright Andy, takes something like this to realise where the gaps in your preparedness are. But is also shows how some of the basic preparations can make such an important difference. First aid kit, mobile phone, knowledge of appropriate action to take. Iknow of something similar happening but the object was a small piece of wire which punctured the heart of the operator and caused some really serious health issues. As a side note to climbers I would recommend checking your systems allows for a controlled one handed descent before you need it. It could make a big difference. One big plus for lockjack users. Anyway sorry for derail.
  6. Coolest summer clothing? ... see here: http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/lounge/62051-sandals-socks-comfort-style-crime-fashion.html

  8. Could try these: Kent Plant Hire - Hire plant equipment near Kent, Essex, Sussex and the South East. Not sure if they still have Processors but worth a try.

  13. Hope it hits the spot mate...I'm still trying different juices to find one that is right. Organic range looks good but totally out of stock at the moment.
  14. Nice vid Josh! Tidy work
  15. iTaste vv.....has variable voltage to adapt the hit and you can put whatever e liquid in you want.... haven't tried any of the other fancy ones but this ticks all the boxes and I can't find fault with it apart from it looks a bit silly in public. You know that you can also refill the disposable tips by taking the white cap of the end.
  16. Think i'll give it a go this year! To hell with the money...never been before!
  17. We had this before ...and I think it is actually correct according to GTR! Love tat threads...well Done Tommy for poppin your cherry!

  19. Personally I would have recommended a fell or 50% maybe more reduction. Looks well dodgy to me from the photos.
  20. timebomb really ...should have been removed ages ago....luckily no one was killed or injured!
  21. My input, I always thought there was a bit gap left when Aborecology didn't turn up, they used to put on a good display. Loosing the ax men wouldn't help either, although I can't blame them as it seems a big effort for them to turn up and put on a display. I think maybe some more talks, some expert speakers, bigger climbing comp, maybe bands and camping? as well as more woodland/countryside craft type exhibitors, maybe smallscale carving comp? would help. Its a lot to organise for a college but if the only exhibitors are equipment suplliers then it will struggle as most visitors won't be there to invest in kit, least not when times are lean for most. Weather and proximity to Cutters and Climbers will also play a part.
  22. Maybe old hat to some...but something that not everyone has seen. I haven't read it in full detail but there's plenty of info in there... http://www.hse.gov.uk/research/rrpdf/rr668.pdf
  23. Coming to turn blades for first time. Torx nuts are proper tight and in danger of major roundings. Is there a recommended torx bit to use or technique for loosening these for the first time? Without slating the product is it worth changing these to an allen bolt? Additionally is overgreasing the cassette bearings really an issue? Apart from that its a beautiful little compact machine, although there is a tendancy for shredding on whippy bits but this is true of all chippers. Any help appreciated.
  24. Anyone got shorter than 41mm? Spose I keep filing mine they'll only get shorter over time
