  5. I'll donate some money to watch you fly bigboy!
  6. I thought http://www.guttertalk.co.uk was something else completely!
  7. Just interested...thats all. I mean the krab from harness to Lockjack then use a push lock from lockjack to climbing line. I am poor at explaining and understanding climbing setups in writing.
  8. Well so far I am really pleased with this...So easy to operate - saves a lot of messing cos its intuitive. No worries on the trust issue because it does what it is supposed too, and is much lighter than a snaplock. Will definately purchase another on for attaching to my mainline, although I wouldn't use one for harness attachment as if anywhere this is where you could come unstuck, although it would be completely fine if you climb steady and keep an eye on it Will wait and see what LOLER man say!
  9. Brought one of these on Friday...is a real nice looking karabiner....I thought it would be perfect for side strop attachment... although now I have it...I would also consider one for attaching the static end of a main line.... However will see how it fairs in the real world.
  10. Had a great time Justin. Superb effort considering the conditions....Wish I had been staying over...but I am building a good stash of get out of jail free cards! ...
  11. I'd be up for it Andy...soon as i can afford an axe.....I felt the shame of generations on my sholders after a terrible performance on friday....Is this where evolution has brought us so far...
  12. Had a cracking time! Great show full of lots of great people And lots of lovely kit and machinery! Thanks for your hard work Justin and crew!
  13. Have you any pictures of the offending tree?
  14. I hear where you are coming from with that.....I am still well gutted about it all
  15. I have actually considered using Aspen permanently...
  16. Some say neat some say poorly mixed, of which it was neither. Just old ...and from what you guys are saying there is no point in me holding my own mix as I would never get through 5l in personal use that quickly. Just have to pilfer it from the Boss when I need to use a saw...
  17. Husqvarna have looked at the saw and they are blaming the fuel. I didn't think I had left it that long. What are peoples views on reasonable shelf life for mixed fuel??
  18. Thanks for the replies. I was a little surprised to hear that only XP oil was suitable as have not heard of anyone running different mixes for different saws. Think I have to assume that I messed up - and launching my saw into some long carving cuts (albeit warmed up) has done the damage...stupid carving!
  19. Shall we say I had an unfortunate incident which resulted in a siezed 372. (14 months old with very infrequent but heavy use) Speaking to a Dealer (chainsaw) yesterday I was told that newer XP saws should really be run on XP oil mix only as other brands (Stihl) are not sufficient to lubricate the saw properly - due to higher working rpm. Anybody got an comments on this? Or maybe this will prevent someone else ruining a saw. I know that I would only use XP oil from now on as I cannot run the risk of further seizures. I was also told that pattern parts are not worth the effort I am inclined to agree that most of them proberly are...but if anyone knows of bulletproof pattern parts I am all ears. Thanks
  20. Good information! Cheers.
  21. Cheers for the info. I am assuming that infestations are not species specific ? Or is there preferred conditions for the larvae ie. decay, young wood etc?
  22. Nice pics David, I am attempting to start a small row of pleach limes but I am getting some meddling help which is retarding my progress
  23. Not sure whats goin on with us Kentish lot at the moment Tony!
