  1. Been using these for a week now, also coming from airstreams. I'm really chuffed with them. They're brilliant for footlocking and spikes sit very well into the sole. 8/10

  5. What Dunc doesn't know, doesn't exist or hasn't been discovered yet. For those doing the online foundation and top up bsc, how many hours a week are you putting into it and do you find it fits in well with work? I did my ND at Myerscough 06/09 and Was thinking of going back to myerscough in Sept but recently got a job at Westonbirt and well...600 acres of trees seemed a lot more appealing than a campus full of students.
  6. The senior position wage is at the top end of that scale, sadly working in a botanical garden/arboretum is never as well paid as the private sector because the money just isnt available. But with 180 acres 11000 trees and 4500 species if you're into your trees it's an excellent place to work and learn (and it looks great on the old cv) IMO As far as job satisfaction goes you can't beat it. it won't suit everyone but for the right person the positives will outweigh the negatives hands down.*

  10. Had a play with one of the two MS201t's today and It doesnt have a primer, it is however an excellent saw. Slightly bigger than the old 200 due to the new EU engine standards. Bigger handle, bigger air filter. A little heavier than the 200 but not much and its still really well balanced. But pretty much the same as the 200.
  11. I've worked with jas before I moved down south and he is a brilliant worker. A credit to any crew he works on.
  12. Cheers mate, thats a relief as there are 2 other really good specimens not to far from that one. Back to square one on whats killing the tree though...anyone have any ideas?
  13. Alright guys, came across this in the gardens i work in the other day. Just wondered if anyone knows what it is as im drawing a blank. Its growing at the base of sequoiadendron giganteum, about a foot or so from the floor. Ive only been working in the gardens for 7 months but the tree looks like its been in decline for a year or two or so...the fruiting body started of soft, in the third picture ive exposed the inside, which very closely resembled chocolate moose. After a few days to a week it became solid and fell off. Any ideas? .
  14. This is a good company to work for, I did a year with them 07/08, good people, good times.
