  1. Well spotted Wayne! I'm sure Jase will tell to the bottom 9f the job!
  2. Jase’s pictures!
  3. My accountant used to say, "if it lasted, then buy it! If you lease it, then watch out for the additional costs...
  4. I never had a problem getting CS100 blade blots out as long as you take care to clean out the grunge for good Allen key engagement, give them a sharp hit with a good Hammer, use and impact driver if you have to even. My son goosed one several years ago in error and as you say, clean it up, puddle weld a nut to it a bosh! Job done.
  5. 5Shires' new 165 with the inverted paint job, red SafeTrac, QuadChip petrol and the sub 750 Evo 165 demo unit.
  6. The stories that we get to hear about the circumstances of stuff being pinched is long and sorrowful. Even had stuff stolen and not reported to us! As so little gets recovered, we would still think that most of it leaves the country quite quickly. Some is sold or brought by legitimate people but that is rare. For those who are offered anything 'right cheap', there is usually a reason behind that price, and that could be because it is knackered, not theirs to sell or not a genuine product. There is no thing as a 'steal' - it has been stolen! The people who feed the flames of this crime are as guilty as those that did the act. Do not buy stolen equipment without checking the provenance first.
  7. To be honest, while we do the 'round robin', I doubt it will be found as is probably far away by now. I can only recall 6 or 8 that have been recovered/discovered, identified and or returned in 2dozen years! I can recall some 20 years back of one being buried in the South East as too hot! One of our staff saw one on the side of road in Mexico while on holiday. It had been an uninsured loss at the turn of the century! The other year, a traveller brought an old one off of a mobile based selling platform, I was suspicious and discovered that the theft had not been reported to us. They went to the nick, no record on the PNC or with the regional force so it stayed with them!
  8. Not sure, a call to Col or message through Facebook might reveal the location. We have done a Round Robin email to our dealers and their Service/Parts people but it is a vain hope!
  9. This very distinctive Safetrac was stolen off of a Network Rail site in Aylesbury last night. Please contact Col Bachman at Chipper Hire South West on 01404 598283 or 07581 050441 if you have any information.
  10. My people don't. They checked mine and decide on how long I need to go before next one. Maybe a year, maybe two. Just depends on the degradation forecast. They think my one eye is actually getting better too! But yes, go to an optician, the cheap reading glasses can make your situation worse! Besides, they can forecast other things health wise by looking into the back of the eye!
  11. I would ordinarily do a simple deflection test. On the long side, can you push one belt inwards with one finger to reveal the inside wall of the adjacent belt without busting a finger? That should be good enough...A belt tensionmeter is reliant on the belt cross section, belt length and distance between the fulcrums is it not? All a bit of a palaver to be honest when a simple push test would suffice. What does it say in the Owners Manual?
  12. I've seen it done. We have seen a few large 4x4 type trucks powering a wood chipper. You need a power take off output on the gearbox as well as some rear end black smithery and away you go! In fact, I know of one sat in a yard not far from Leeds. All you need is money, imagination and necessity.
  13. Is there enough to see if anyone wants to come along with a biomass set up? Brash bailer? Mulcher? Some of these guys work nationwide and with the right kit, will get the job done pdq. Kingwell Holdings spring to mind.
  14. Still got some 'John Wayne's bog roll. Takes shit off no one!
  15. I'll try a get that off my bucket list! How do we think it will end? Lightning strike blows a big chunk off and a disturbed wide/sail area starts the decline until she cannot feed herself?
  16. How come the E4I went under!?! He always made out that he was doing loads? I just thought that Rytec had muscled it over......
  17. And cheap Italian copies! I would rather support the UK economy, more so now than ever! BTW, what happened to the italian copy of the CS100?
  18. How did this end? Was there any local support or did your own ingenuity tesolve the issues?
  19. if it goes wrong Stuart, who does the warranty? Anyone local? If you have to do it, who can be on the end of the phone?
  20. You need to decide whether you need a chipper or shredder. They are basically two different mechanical processors which handle different sorts of material and produce a different end product.
  21. Missus made Keftedestonight with wedges and salad. I did take a picture but for some reason, lost it with some finger error!
  22. I know that a few Swb Shoguns were vans - Balmers GM had them as Rep's tow tugs. I think they still got a couple but they are cock all use with a family!
  23. How much is the change in the insurance from private to commercial? Or at least cover including work in a 'car' against a commercial vehicle. When I were a yoof, having a van was a cheap ride, I got told the other year that nowadays, commercial vehicle insurance was bloody dear!
  24. I'm more figured like Russel Crowe when he has had some time off than Tom Hanks tbh
  25. We always pondered this issue, "who the hell cares and who the hell checks?". Tier 5?, who are the emissions Police and what are the penalties? Sub 750? Anyone ever get a tug for something just out of the scope? Doubt it..... We could all change the settings in the electrics, swap a couple of belts and pulleys, break the seal on the throttle stop and wind it up and boom! Back to 35hp and nobody knows! Tuners have been doing stuff like that since the I.C.E was invented! What happens when a part of the engine fails? (Unlikely I know) The Kubota Approved Service Agent sees the broken seal, and the warranty is void.
