  1. Asked Google to play Physical Graffiti, not listened to it in years!
  2. I was wondering if there is a 'register' which is 20mm for the blade to sit on before the bolt is tightened. It makes no sense otherwise. BTW, the shop soldit to you so technically, they have to deal with it. But just cannot see how/why it would be assembled with that blade on a smaller bolt only.
  3. Did you buying with any warranty? Talk to the local Grillo dealer - phone the salesman, he got your sale and is keen for the next too!
  4. That very interesting question also throws into the pot of the pre 97 folk who tow, have towed, without training or issue going forwards? I've towed since 82, without an issue, as the then licence allowed so why should I now be penalised by insurance companies who were happy to previously take my coin?

    Laptop .

I'd give my MIL an Aston! But only knowing that she would give it me back and use her Yaris! I got a Lenovo thing that doubles as a big tablet. Open, fold it open and further and the screen is touch!
  6. Some of the hoops or regulations that machine manufacturers have to work too is often beyond the comprehension of sensible people at times..... All new chippers have a slightly longer infeed chute, all have to have a bottom infeed control bar and all have to have an infeed stopping button (or two) on the top of the infeed chute. This was insisted upon by a foreign HSE department as anyone stood in the infeed chute, kicking in brash or chogs, was in danger of being hurt and, once passed the Red bar, had no control over the infeed rollers! The infeed chute has to be of a certain length, top, bottom and sides, preventing anyone reaching in to grab the rollers. A discharge chute has to be a certain length or shape so that no one is able to put their arm down the thing too close to the rotor. If the chute is designed to be removable, it cannot be too easily removed or tools or thought process needed to complete the act. It may need an interlocking interface to secure the hole or make the thing safe etc. In fewer words, we have to try and make them idiot proof....
  7. I do vaguely recall, excuse me but 5 years is some period and I cover a fair patch! Your input though, is valid always, as is the view from current folk.
  8. Tad wider than the 1928, tad heavier, and a couple of hp more but sales died off when the 1928 was birthed. Engine changes made spawned the Evo205. Epic....if you were in my area and did rail work, I'd cond and see you next week with with her!
  9. Straddle is better than in 4ft and risk ripping track off or dislodging a clip etc! I too have seen road2rail kit and trolley stuff which does work, but nowt beats a SafeTrac or SureTrak to up/down or across/along slopes.
  10. New Evo205SureTrak is too wide to ride the 4ft on request of authorities too!
  11. We done a few but dropped that style in favour of other ways of doing it. Being a manufacturer, we got far more responsibility to protect folk. In theory, a folding chute has to protect folk from being able to access the rotating flywheel by sticking their arm down the tube!. Hence the micro switch on a QuadChip or the sprung loaded flap on the Evo165D.....
  12. Call Jase on 01789 400044 tomorrow. Sounds like it is measuring wrong to be constantly green. It should flash when you turn on the ignition, go solid red when started and green when it reaches full speed. At that point, it energises the solenoid valve getting feed in!
  13. The Arb130 is the same platform, chip chamber, rotor, blah blah blah as the 150 but fitted with a 23hp Vee twin Honda. The Arb150 was 34hp diesel, 25hp diesel or 37hp Petrol so will be suited to a different workload and budget.
  14. Jam Shed seems to go well with the Missus. I'm a white wine person, Muscadet is good, Chardonnay too. I like red but don't digest it well.
  15. I sometimes wonder at online reviews, are firms really that bad is a group of people having a twist of the knife with a different motive or are folks expectations more than reality can deliver at that price?
  16. They got a small hire fleet of a couple of towed and a couple of tracked, stump grinder, various mowers and tractors etc. Unfortunately, in the Highlands, you have a couple of spots in Inverness, Dundee or further south and across the Central Belt!
  17. Blimey! Think that is illegal here! A full manual should be with the machine at all times! Perhaps they haven't translated it from Mandarin?
  18. https://arbtalk.co.uk/forums/topic/127957-selling-possibly-the-best-small-arb-truck-in-the-uk-other-excellent-gear/ This seems a well built, well thought out set up.
  19. Perhaps you could put a direct link up? I couldn't find anything with you as a seller? Good luck and best wishes going forwards!
  20. Did ask about stripes with robo mowers and it transpires that the newer versions can be programmed for stripes in some areas. Sweet! Thank you GPS! Mind, signal has to be goodnfor the GPS....
  21. I did see one on ebay some months back in the load bed splatter paint in GM green. Didn't look too shabby either!
  22. You are correct that chippers are getting higher, the legislation changed the other year and all current units have to be above 600mm at the end of the flap. Some are higher for engineering reasons too. I was looking at an older chipper in a mates yard, the chute was about 8 inches off the floor and half as long as today's chutes! I once had a customer who had 4 x QuadChips and a couple 9f blokes always complained that they were too low.....
  23. This was the thing I was looking for! I seem to recall that the owner has been very happy with the set up. if it works well for him, then very best wishes to him!
  24. I believe that it could only carry a 150 but was a big chunk of money!
