  1. And not available for a year due to semiconductor supply!
  2. I got a 3.2 Ranger with about 160k on the clock and towing is part of a chipper Rep's job. Wouldn't have a manual again, even in a sports car!
  3. I've been dismayed at how much of a donation goes to just about any charity, that is why I only give to a very select few charities! That, and I think so many of them milk the system and rely on the good nature of those volunteers who give their time freely! Folk on the ground floor are generally seriously under cared for while those auditors and senior managers don't do enough yet get well remunerated!
  4. Another top tip on older chippers, check the hydraulic pressure, and check the blow off value. Astounding how much pleasure a correct blow off is!
  5. Yes, the winch tray is available as a spare part. However, a factory fitted unit has a sensor in each leg, one leg has to be fully retracted to switch on the winch circuit for strength and stability. Home fitted units rely on the operator to ensure that this is done!
  6. I'm lead to believe that hydraulic are impressively more expensive than electric! We have fitted both in the past and both have their pros and cons tbh. One of the best tips I could give is to invest in a fibre rope instead of steel. I think we use Dyneema?
  7. I had a recent occurance involving a travelling lady taking her newly acquired (via Spock app) chipper and berated husband to a Police station as she had paid another traveller for a stolen chipper! She was livid, the husband henpecked and the Police confused yet surprised! I feel that a number are exported while a fair number remain within the trade. We tried a setting that was basically a keypad lock, but no one wanted to pay for it. We offered all kinds of trackers but they do have their limitations at times and folk got put off by the cost and believe they will be okay too! Nowt will stop crime, and the buyers of said kit are worse than the thieving scum in the first place!
  8. Good luck going forwards with the property, sounds like once done, idyllic!
  9. Ask the question at Glen Farrow, if their kit ain't working proper, they'll have a clue!
  10. I came across a short butt length trailer with crane some years ago, with the facility to move axle back and forth to maintain nose weight etc. But, it carried next to nowt realistically. Go HGV and get calm shell grab on 8 wheeler...
  11. There a Tech Help section which goes directly to Timberwolf. They should be able to answer directly.
  12. Sounds like a momentary connection with the reverse buttons. Check both to see if one of the mechanisms is loose?
  13. At times, some of my efforts could get a billing on Rate My Plate! Some of the comments on that page have me crying!
  14. I'm going with the missus, while local architecture can be viewed, it has to be done as part of the general view and not specifically!
  15. Okay. Sold buy Hubert Nightingale (I took his job when he left), to Devon Garden Machinery 10.4.96 and sold on to Taunton Deane Borough Council in Taunton. It went to a sales circa 1999 and they had some more GreenMechs that I sold to them. We have no records for her after this - if you send me your details, I'll amend the records to show it is in your hands. [email protected] She is of that age where we may struggle with a number of the components as life goes on but good to see her working! Welcome to the club.
  16. The Missus wants to visit Riga towards the end of February. Anyone got any recommendations for things to see/do/visit?
  17. Work bench belongs in top kitchen! Was planning easy to come by for workshop and lean to structure?
  18. You are correct that rollers can be 9ver greased leading to stiffness or squeaking. If it happens again, let the pressure out by undoing the nipple. Jase and I did discuss the merits of putting a nipple in that has had the spring and ball removed!
  19. You loose 25% of power going hydraulic! We have done a load of 6" machines for Avant and a couple for RoboFlail type devices but they need oil quantity, cooling and flow. As said, get a standard Wee Chipper (preferably GreenMech) and tow it about with loader. When you done with it, it has a wider market etc.
  20. Big outfit with many fingers in many pies! Also own BTS Group of Needham Market and Telford.....
  21. Was going to add, Google clutch and brake reliners near me? I used to take shoes and clutches to one in Leicester.
  22. Pete Haine at Ely is selling his Predator 360 on treebay.
  23. My missus is in to the industrial/retro look and got some chairs from some government institution that benefitted from felt pads stuck to the steel legs. Depends whether you are in to really.
  24. If the makers plate is still there, send me a picture and I'll dredge up the known history.
  25. My old IH Tractor could be done but the Landrover was solid etc.....
