  1. Did ask about stripes with robo mowers and it transpires that the newer versions can be programmed for stripes in some areas. Sweet! Thank you GPS! Mind, signal has to be goodnfor the GPS....
  2. I did see one on ebay some months back in the load bed splatter paint in GM green. Didn't look too shabby either!
  3. You are correct that chippers are getting higher, the legislation changed the other year and all current units have to be above 600mm at the end of the flap. Some are higher for engineering reasons too. I was looking at an older chipper in a mates yard, the chute was about 8 inches off the floor and half as long as today's chutes! I once had a customer who had 4 x QuadChips and a couple 9f blokes always complained that they were too low.....
  4. This was the thing I was looking for! I seem to recall that the owner has been very happy with the set up. if it works well for him, then very best wishes to him!
  5. I believe that it could only carry a 150 but was a big chunk of money!
  6. I reckon Mike Zarkos said that the Haglund lasted a couple of years before it was separated and the Haglund was returned to Witham. But the Defender was from SAS in Malvern and that too was split....May be wrong though.
  7. I should read my posts before I post - I seem to fall foul to Spell Check! I thought Paul dismantled the TW/Defender after the show......
  8. When I didn't go, collage was spelt differently. But then, we didn't have spell check when I was a yoof and I ain't improved!
  9. Paul at SAS did the TW on a defender chassis and it was on the TW stand a an APF Show at Cannock Chase. I thought he dismay it to be honest.
  10. I saw the (my) first article load of Xmas trees on the M6 last week, and passed four wages and drags on the M6 and up into Scotland yesterday afternoon! No doubt I end up with one of those - no needles left by boxing day!
  11. A chap in Germany did that with a QuadChip. I'll find a picture......
  12. This was curbside recycling. Not curbside collection/transport. It worked well enough for those that cared and was a realistic solution. The business case did evolve to include a payment system which did take some chipped or shredded waste out of the landfill for it to remain at source. But died overnight.....
  13. How many where there Jase? 3 or 4? I know one was an older chassis cab....
  14. Yup, factory fitted with chassis cab supplied by a local authority. It was for a booked system of curbside reduction with chips/shreds left for homeowners. The system was working well, right up until that LA decided to give everyone a brown bin FOC for garden waste without consulting the division concerned. I think we did 3, maybe 4, but it died overnight once the bins took the waste.....
  15. Managerial fees could be to consultants and advisors trying to get out of the monthly mess of having a contract that isn't paying enough?
  16. GreenPlant have recently become the new Rayco dealer and I e heard that they have a good reputation with their Parts department on other makes.
  17. A wire rope is harder to cut than a solid chain or other such device?
  18. Not many down that way, that big! Shame for all those affected...
  19. This what happens if you don't charge enough to do the work?
  20. Got to admit.....I would rather pay more, a lot more.....to acquire goods from another economic zone. Support Britian, support the UK, support our European neighbours....
  21. 1105turbo? 3 pot? We use the same engine in QuadChips and Arb150 units. Or at least did until the Tier 5 thing came along! Our wiring diagram might help. Try downloading from our website. Have a go!
  22. There are still Navara models available, what are they like?
  23. I've to call a few dealers to get a handle on workshop rates, service costs, warranty etc.... Ford webpage doesn't seem to cover the mpg values or prices either!
  24. GreenMech are changing trucks soon enough. With delivery periods, we are looking at a fleet deal early next year. Anyone got the new Ecoboost Ranger? Views on the current Hilux? Does the D Max measure up? I know that there are many vagaries etc My current 3.2 gave me a load of grief with Adblue measurement, but other than that, she done well. Yet the other has had £6k spent on it! We may have stayed with the same again but, what are the collective opinions of the new kit?
  25. Change the blades yourself, there is a video of how it is done! Do it often and It becomes easy!
