On reflection, I reckon the AC pump drive has gone. One of our Service guys, Raf, is BMW trained tech so he will look into it!

After quietly praising the 67 plate Ranger for passing 240k without too much bother and surviving a year with a bad gearbox, it sounds like bearings have gone on a component in the alternator belt drive! Did think that the alternator had died but that is still charging so could be tensioner? Just when I plan driving some 15 hours over the next two days! The spare truck is a shed too! Bugger!!!

This trip ain't going well! Got to the Premier Inn in Inverness and their food/bar is dead through lack of staff! Just not wanting junk food so back into town to Morrison's as their car park can take the Ranger and Trailer and have a cafe. No steak supper tonight either!

Bugger! Got to hotel in Perth at 19:30, pub stopped taking orders at 18:45 then bar shut at 19:30 for maintenance!

Morning! Will take a walk up Golden Cap this morning and watch the rugby on the box this aft before leaving the old folk and driving the 185 miles home. By Wednesday, I'll have driven from the South Coast to Inverness!

Morning All, crap start to the day - was awake from 3ish until gone 5 now feel lousy! Long day too, ending in a drive from Sheffield to Chard to see the old folk. Enjoy your own Friday!
