    which is left

When one stands in ones front hall looking down the drive at the peasants, left is to your left and right is the opposite. The hired staff should would only forget this at their peril!
  2. We do them already, but it is an expensive option - its called a groundy! But as a bought in component there is limited warranty and they aren't always reliable. We have no control over their production techniques.
  3. Why thank you honey, now about these new machines!?!
  4. Some years ago I had a couple of Echo mid range saws, CS4600 I beleive. Anyone else used a twin cylinder saw?
  5. Both the JB and GMR have passed the curent EU specs, so we go with that ta. I've been informed that the drum method is better than the flywheel at this level.
  6. Who knows! Not until its ready I suppose. Tell me, what do you know of it and from whom? As to retro kits, its only steel, so if somoeone wants to pay for the conversion it might happen. But then, we are really too busy building machines to consider that, even if the rumour was true. When are we seeing the new machines from Redwood - chipper and grinder?
  7. The Saelens has a set of straight edge blades and shear bar and also hammers. So you still end up with blade issues.
  8. GreenMech blades fair better than flats on "contaminated" material - I only had five years of use with my two, but never bought any new blades. But was buying say 2 sets a year for my other machine @ £330 per set!
  9. I thought that the Tree Busta was replaced by the TW18/100G. The main issues I'd have with the 13/75 was the discharge to ground, bearings and its rather high for feeding. Little blades and single pot engine.
  10. Why the sudden push? Hugo, we only have a few in stock and one has to promote ones products occasionally. Nice wine!

I understand that a switch is a switch, but who says they don't make a switch anymore. I'd try alternatives like automotive switchs fitted to a different bracket. Try RS Electricals .co.uk(?). We have used various switcheas and latching devices in different applications and a switch is a switch, the bracket makes it fit!
  12. The GreenMech GMR100 is similar to the JB and would give fewer problems than the TW. You are paying for quality tho.
  13. I'll inform our dealers, it would be handy to have a serial number or some such.
  14. Seen a Parmetor for sale at about £700 in a dealers yard in Wilts. PM me if required. Cheers
  15. Hell, do that dance often. I'm not rude to my neighbours but after a long drive I walk like that!
  16. Try the mark one sledge - 10 or 14lb variety! Puts muscle on yer back.
  17. Promark deffo, Saturn or one of the other sheffield firms should be able to help.
  18. Christ, he looks like he's got a DEEP personal itch but is too polite to dig the groove! Great video, you have to have stones to dance like that away from the privacy of your own bedroom.
  19. Find a field, get rev her up and play! You'll soon work her all out.
  20. I've signed up, too many leisure facilities are being lost to "garden grabbers" in a short term gain attitude that is encouraged by the grabbers at central governement and the local council see building on this site as an easy way to make their targets set by the idiots in London.
  21. Engleburt Humperdincke Squire de Lisle Lord Lanesborough Sold a chipper to the guy makes most F1 gearboxes, again to the fellow who owns the 451st RS4 Audi (Oficially they only made 450, but they had to make his and it was de-restricted and he bottled out at 175 on the Chichester bypass!!) Sandringham, tried Wimbledon (lost budget) Sister used to baby sit for kids run by Rick Parfit, and the feller who sang "Green Door". Demo'ed a grinder at the home of the bloke who owns the worlds bext E Type Jag. Sold 28 tonnes of woodchip to Donington Park for the F1 GP in the early 90's, they also rented a chipper and two guys for 12 days just to produce woodchips for footpaths.
  22. Chip size can be altered by slowing down the rollers. Do this by reducing the oil flow at the valve (if fitted). Once saw a GreenMech which the operators had on the back of a tractor which the ran at 1000 speed at max engine revs and throttled back the rollers to get dust. (be warned tho, that rotor was going at close to 4k rpm, when it should've been close to 2k).
  23. £15 a head is a lot when you consider that the public had free access upto wednesday and from saturday evening onwards. Onsite food was not varied enough and a tad pricey. I did not see many litter bins and the rubbish we generated on thursday is still there with all the rest. Staff generally helpful, polite and informative. Site and layout good apart from a bit of mud in one or two areas. Forest section a bit too spread out with gaps between exhibitors, otherwise good. What was the facilities for campers like? Right kind of visitors attending all three days.

    APF no MUD

Went to Lockerbie. The hotel ran out of bitter on the first night!!

    APF no MUD

I went back to the site again today to pick up another machine. I was absolutely gobsmacked and a bit put out that the whole area was open to the public!!! After all the exhibitors go thro during set up and breakdown on Saturday night, why allow families, kids, dogs, mountain bikes play whilst kit is still being moved about and loaded. There was vitually no restriction of movement nor visible security and to cap it all, they didn't have to fork out £15 neither!!!!!
