  3. Mad Matt if your after highways work depends on the area and who's paying for the work and who the contractor doing the surfacing aspect of the project its not as simple as a phone call to county council but you can approach the contractors if you know who thay are " wink wink "

  5. Arbtrucks had one with a bucket hoist looked the nuts someone must know what happened to it ??? We have canters at work crewcab plus locker makes for very small chip load for 7.5t imo think there are better vehicles than canters but can't speak for the 4x4 model

    I wouldn't have one unless it was as a method of training for good posture when cutting personally is plumb for the husqvarna 135 my local dealer is knocking them out for well less than £190 inc can't go wrong for a budget buy.

There has been numerous thread discussing climbers operating a rigging system in the tree imo its a very limited application ( limited to small dia material) and you still need a groundsman to untie I personally believe it could lead to very complicated dangerous scenarios ie tangled climbing rigging lines etc However I do believe that there could be a scenarios where this would look like a good idea but there are alternatives good risk assessment should have ruled this out by having correctly qualified staff.

    Where about is the job affordable access in romsey or Chris fouche of cutting tree services winchester also know someone in andover with a bobcat skid steer
  12. It's true barriers and cones seem to be invisible but leave some strategically placed brush has a noticeable effect even when dead wooding I tend to leave the little bits on the road and driver's seem to slow down. Try it, its does make a difference

  14. Had mine 2years plus tbh was happy but wore it this last week and news paper would've been better maybe some waterproof stuff that nikwax do might sort it. Prior to this I had a hellyhansen jacket that is still going strong like that say ain't broken don't fix it.
  15. I've had my crewcab for thee years and think its a great compromise happy on the motorway good towing (my lump vermeer) very happy with mpg my weekly run is 36 miles 5 times a week on £40. I've had other makes and models all have pro&cons but as an all rounder A*

  19. These uj joints are a common size I got mine for local bearings suppliers for £8 just for future ref as Ford wanted an arm and leg.

  22. I would save the ash for on indoor application personally and plumb for softwood for cheap version or oak for more pricey version

  24. You got it down. I've worked with charcters who have wimped out and I've had to finish the job. I had a bad experience dropped a chog that bounced into live lane I was screaming but not heard due to chipper heard the crunch felt sick to my core dropped out of the tree to check on car and drive couldn't finish the tree I was in a state of utter shock
