  1. I was after a Mossy 930 spx for a while Ed, but couldn't find one anywhere, so I settled on the FN SLP Mk1 that you see in the first 2 pics (does look very similar to the 930spx eh?) Being a European make, I figured that the FN would be superior to the Mossberg (and it is!) Jeez, you should see that thing shoot, it cycles sooooo quick!!
  2. Acquired quite a few 'gadgets' since being over here, these seem to be my fav at the mo....I like my iphone too, but who wants to see a pic of that eh?
  3. Look at the Ken Onion range by Kershaw. http://www.kershaw-knives.net/
  4. Varies from state to state. In NY state you have to have 2 plates on, but Florida for instance you only need the rear and you can put what you like on the front. That plate of mine was about $30 I think.....And of course some Brit words don't mean anything here, for instance I saw a scaffold company t'other day called Swansea Scaffold (geezer had a Disco with a Welsh dragon spare wheel cover) and his reg plate was BOLLOCKS. I kid you not!!
  5. 'Vanity plates' (as they're called over here) are dirt cheap...
  6. I've been an ISA Certified Arborist since 2003. Seems to be bigger over here than back in the UK.
  7. Screaming through the Vermont woods at night time on a snowmobile....

  9. Have a laugh at this before it gets deleted!!
  10. If brains were chocolate, you couldn't fill a f**king Smarty. As popular as a reggae band at Ku Klux Klan meeting.
  11. Lech Walesa.
  12. Sorry to hear about your aggro Pete, thieving little sock cuckers. Seems to be getting worse and worse over with you guys.
  13. On the subject of Armistice Day, a good read, though very sad is 'The Poppy Factory' by William Fairchild. My grandmother used to tell me the story of that day when the postman brought the dreaded telegram informing her that her brother had been lost on the Somme in 1916.....never to be found.
  14. "Oh Tiber, father Tiber, to whom the Romans pray, A Roman's life, a Roman's arms, take thou in charge this day!" So he spake and, speaking, sheathed the good sword by his side, And, with his harness on his back, plunged headlong in the tide.
  15. In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree Where Alph, the sacred river ran, Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea...... ....and I'll have to look up the next verse! Unless someone else knows it off by heart?
  16. Where's me fuckin' shoes?
