  1. Women listen better than men do too......none of that eye rolling as if they know everything when you're explaining stuff or offering advice.
  2. Driver's side window.....quickly followed by the passenger's side window. Luckily no-one in the car at the time, so I packed up and left...
  3. Your feet are firmly under the table Carl so don't worry!! Ideally I'd like to think about a second crew within the next year or two......I would definitely be interested in having a Brit running it. BUT, the transition ain't easy, esp with a wife and kids. BUT, saying that, it is the land of oppurtunities......and if a Brew head like me can get it together, then there is hope for all of us!! Plus the fact when you can't climb anymore (cos I've broken you) I can help train you to become an arborist/sales rep, in other words get you out selling tree work. All applications WILL be considered.......except if you're a TOTAL muppet. Carl and Ed are front of the line......Oh, and if you're thinking of coming here to make money to send back to Blighty.....DON'T BOTHER, as it's a pointless exercise.
  4. Why d'ya think I left and set up shop here!?
  5. Anytime Ed....ANYTIME!! Just make sure that your suitcase is crammed with Special Brew, then we should be good to go! Seriously though, I will be looking to try and tempt a good Brit climber/foreman/operations manager to come over at some point, someone who is gonna want to be in it with me for the long haul. And be able to keep up with my two crazy Latino boys.
  6. Because when I was working as a gamekeeper, we had one to drive down to the laying pens to collect the pheasant eggs with. One 'Old Peculiar' fueled afternoon......we discovered it. And I damn near pissed myself....and my passenger (who was a radar operator on HMS Sheffield, when she got hit by that exocet....total NUTTER) almost crapped himself!!
  7. If you make those little VANS go fast enough and the driver and passenger are heavy enough..........and then you stamp on the anchors hard enough, you can actually get the rear wheels to come right off the floor......and the VAN to rest on it's nose on the front bumper. Don't ask me how I know.
  8. Dodge don't do the Power Wagon with a Cummins (misguided people that they are)......only the Hemi, otherwise I would have.
  9. No Ed, 5.7L of V8 Hemi petrol lump.......you really don't want to know the mpg!!
  10. Park on top of them......or just get the tow chain out! Had a row with some muppet over a parking space the other day, he tried to drive forwards into a space that I was reversing into. I said, "Go ahead mate, park there, I'll just drag it out of the way." Soon changed his mind...
  11. Check this out..... http://apu.drexelshaft.com/powerwagon.avi
  12. Yes Steve, they are factory installed.
  13. My pick up. 5.7L V8 Hemi, diff lockers front and rear, 4.56 final gear ratio, 12,000lb Warn winch, sway bar disconnect, rock rails, 35" BFG mudders. Goes anywhere...........apart from 3 ft deep holes on buliding sites that are full of water.
  14. Looked like she'd been set alight and then put out with a golf shoe........or shovel.
  15. It'a a black walnut (Juglans nigra), shed loads of 'em around here.
  16. Junk!! Don't bother with tiddly-wink kit.......it's shite. Worked for a forestry contractor years ago down near Farnham, he bought some tiddly-wink tractors.....we broke all of them. PTO, linkage....all junk.
  17. Alright everyone, calm down, calm down.......I made it!! So Steve, do I post in the 'across the pond' forum or what?
