  1. Here is the vid from the Vimeo site so it can be watched in the States. The Throwpod By Sawpod on Vimeo
  2. Well the Buick 215ci aluminum block v8 that the Predator and many other unlimited hotsaws are built on are putting out around 300hp. Bike saws are another class with a 250cc limit. Most are built on Yamaha 2 stroke YZ or Suzuki 2 stroke RM motors. All are water cooled thru coolant filled jackets, no pumps or radiators.
  3. Pictures look nice! Can't see the video here in the USA because it's blocked from copyright on the music.
  4. Bolts to the frame that holds the engine.
  5. On a budget most use Harvester bars and sprockets. No clutch, just a cog tooth belt connecting the flywheel to a jack shaft that powers the sprocket. Most use an aluminum frame to hold the motor and mount the bar centered in front of the engine. Carbs are a issue because of the angles required when starting the cut tilted back for a large log. If a person could sort the issues with fuel injection it would be the way to go. Buick made some aluminum block v-6's. Google image search for v8 hot saw will give you lots to look at.
  6. My guess is it has Laminated root rot, the reason it is being removed. So the higher you go up the stem the better the sounder the wood is for a hinge.
  7. From my little birding experience. Juvenile bird: a young fledged bird. Immature bird: older but not quite fully grown. Sorry about that Pat.
  8. Immature Cooper's Hawk. Haven't been able to get pics of the adults yet.
  9. Controlled chimney fire. Definitely doesn't work on all chimney types.
  10. I use the heat clean method a few times a year. Been doing it that way since a kid.
  11. May be I missed this one. Bad magnet in the fly wheel?
  12. Twisting was the problem I remember with three strand.
  13. I haven't but the owner of Ropetek does. They work well on Moto's, the caller can't even tell you are going down the road.
  14. Or just buy the 365 and a little Dremel work you have a 372 X-torq.
  15. That was the same thing we were told here in the States.

Very nice, Thank you for sharing.
  17. I think a few of us got our start that way.
  18. Sorry no answer for you but reports show the left hand injured as much as the legs. Chain Saw Injury Statistics
  19. Same here. I notice about half way through the life that I need to go back and take the gullet down close to the top of the side plates. Then it cuts much better to the end. Never broke a chain from it. The only broken teeth I have had were from having the rakers to low and then cutting frozen hardwood.
  20. A first for me today, pulled a spark screen out of a ms170 and it was quite plugged. Never had that before. Burned it off with the torch and put it back together, all is well.
