  1. Very nice, Reg. Always fun to watch your vids.
  2. My guess is 80% that. But when a dealer can't sort a computer issue it does magnify the stress and down time for the owner. And carbed strato motors are harder to tune for the average joe. So much easier to run too lean and seize.
  3. Yes this. Or a carbide burr in a die grinder will open right up also.
  4. Not to worry somewhere someone is over greasing everything.
  5. I am tired after just looking at the web page.
  6. The 8pin/7pin ? really comes down to how a cutter uses the saw. If you like to dog the saw in and pull the 7 pin is usually the better one. If the saw has good torque, the 8 pin can be a lot of fun.
  7. Standard pulpwood/ringing set up over here stateside. 70cc, 3/8, 16", 8pin, bars hold up fine with sharp chains. Dull chain and you try to push it, and it will burn the rails right quick.
  8. Bad day all around for that crew.

    My accident

Sean, Thanks for the smile/chuckle while I read your account of inspecting the hoist and haul out equipment. I would have had the same thoughts at some level. Glad to hear they got you outside for a while. That always helps the mind a bit.
  10. Hoping for a fast and full recovery. Strength to you.
  11. The 192 T and CE take the same bars according to Stihl usa.
  12. Less teeth to sharpen and cuts as fast or faster on 25" and up bars. Cuts hardwood just as good as it performs in softwood. Full skip chatters more bore cutting. Grabs more while limbing. Square ground cuts faster but is slower to sharpen. Also takes a special style grinder that no one makes anymore. Silvey and Simington were both closed last I knew. I have been running semi skip square on a 390xp 25" bar cutting some Red oak, worked well around the same number of teeth to file as full comp 20". First time you rock it a little switch it to round file.
  13. 7pin is stock as others have said. I am currently run a 8pin on my 390xpg with a 20" and 25" bar. As Stubby said try one and see. I like the extra chain speed. But if your hamfisted it might stall in the cut to easy. Hadn't heard of the xt carb swap. I have a 372xt I converted back to a xp. May need to swap the carbs with the 390xp.
  14. Took a few tries to find the right hitch cord and tightness. Now it stays on my climb line with the ArbPro attached, just pull it out and go.
