  1. Eating out is a bugger with salt overload here.
  2. Well Steve, has your USA trip killed your Paleo yet?
  3. Sorry to hear. Sounds like you gave him a good life, that is what matters.
  4. Ate some organic corn crisps yesterday, got a splitting headache. Seems I should remember this

    sciatica

You really need to understand first if it is a Sciatic nerve problem or a L5/S1 nerve impingement from a disk herniation. As some of the stretches for sciatica only make the disk herniation pain worse.
  6. Good to hear. Best recovery for her.
  7. Looking for a few quarts of ice cream! Where you headed in the states? Or did I miss a thread some where?
  8. I end up ordering fish when dinning out here in the states at night. Most of the time fish is served with a vegetable and salad. Lunch is finding something other than Bar/Pub food that was all run through the deep-fryer. Only really starting this Paleo thing solid this week. Got to change some heath numbers for the long haul.
  9. +1 my shoulders don't allow me to get over a orchid tree any more.
  10. Required on this side of the pond to work on State or Federal property. I take them out of my top handle saws. Not worried about a fire up a tree. I leave the screw out when not running a screen so that the screw doesn't become stuck or lost. Cleaning is easy with a spray can of carburetor cleaner and a old tooth brush. Dissolves the oil and carbon quickly.
  11. Like others I have used a few but ether on a my back up flip line or for rigging. The low melting point and grabby nature swayed me from trying it as my climbing hitch. Now about the only thing I use it for is rigging or adjustable friction savers. HRC is prefered hitch cord, even on my backup flip line.
  12. Ran across this vid. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuBzbsTSJqU]Bandit 490 xp - YouTube[/ame]
  13. Went and watched the Stihl Timbersports yesterday for the Midwest qualifier. Not the videos from yesterday but some of the same folks. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T57RRx-tUsY]Stihl Timbersports Series Southern Hot Saw 2013 - YouTube[/ame]
  14. What years was the 365 a 60cc saw? I thought it had been a non xp 70cc all along.
  15. I have not been able to tune out the run on. That is my only complaint when compared to the old 372/044. Sounds like your L tune is lean. As for the don't change, Thank the EU and EPA for new emission regs. They seem to come out of the box quite lean on the low end. Then after run in seem to lean up a little more. So if a person/dealer isn't on top of that then they see a few seized ones back.
  16. Well I am running a 346/372X-torq combo and quite disagree with him. Did he give specific issues to the X-torq or just the broad sweeping not as good? Like the 441 they take some tuning to get right, but once done rip just as good as the old 372 and use less fuel doing it.
  17. Slow, plus dragging around two stiff hyd lines wears quick on you. Reminded me of using a 026 at half throttle but much harder to stall. Processors have the advantage that being hard mounted so you can run the raker setting much lower so they take a heaver chip. Depending on chain pitch it may be anywhere from .045 to .09 chip setting compared to .02 to .025 on a hand held. Then to on processors the drive sprocket has upwards of 20 plus drive teeth to get the chain speed up closer to a petrol saw.
  18. It would use less air than the 4hp, but in comparison to your other tools that only use between 4-8 cfm it is still a lot of air to produce. And I have not run air chainsaws so I have no idea how the 1.2 hp rating would relate to a gas chainsaw. I am wondering if they have a slower chain speed like the electric and hydraulic saws do.
  19. Well in layman terms a 600 gallon tank would run it for less than a minute at a draw of 90cfm.
  20. It looks to be the same as the F650gs Dakar just a newer version. Do a search and some reading on that model. Never rode or owned one myself.

    Dog dilema

First sorry you have to deal with a aging family member. Good on you for helping were you can, it can be very taxing on everyone. With her having dementia just pick the story you want to keep telling her every five minutes or what ever her length of retention she has now. Anyone telling you to reason with her has most likely not had the sadness of dealing/reasoning with a dementia patient. I would use the dog passing myself. Any other story could easily morph into it was stolen, possibly creating other legal issues.
  22. Here in the states we can get a 2' extension to add to a 6' base pole. 8' total seem best for keeping your hands away from the firing pouch and rubbers. For equestrian there are quick release panic snaps for a few dollars. They aren't as smooth as a trigger or sail snap but for the price I can deal with it.
