  2. one of my first trees was leaning over a green house oviously the fear or destroying it and spikes slipping, the worst is the karibiner dropping a bit oh and no ariel rescue.
  3. Cheers Jonesie , I might do that only want £100 for it if possible , what do you think. like I said only climbed in it for a year had it for 2.
  4. Dean have you donated the full hundred or are you waiting for proof. I've donated fifty for the head shave and said ill do another 50 if he does the rest.
  5. DEAN, I've got the Austria Duo the first one, its not comfortable after my back op. thinking of the ekn but ill look at the show. Depends if I sell this one first.
  6. Maybe a new harness , something with a bit more back surport. Need to sell my other one first only 2 years old if that.

  9. Go on i'll put £50 in for you then as soon as I get home.
  10. Lee are you going for the head shave or bold all over.
  11. The beano or the dandy are fantastic reads.
  12. A boss offering to buy decent kit, it was like trying to get blood from a stone with mine ex boss. when he did I had to pay part of it. Ended getting my own plus I didn't get any extra pay . So go for it like Andy said he thinks your worth the investment .
  13. At first I thought it looked crap on another thread , its proberly because I didn't understand why they do it. until I was given info on it , And now abit more knowledgable about it I understand why it is done and what benefits it gives.
  14. If it helps I was sat at home in my shorts, fan full blast drinking an ice cold beverage.
  15. Why are you more likely to have another one. surely its a big learning curve for you eg cut boot thread, wrong positioning straight into boot lesson learnt. oviously the hard way.
  16. Andy, Didn't think you were, it's because I shouldn't have made it personal about me i'm stopping it. Been out of it for a year now and proberly the rest of the year at least, just gets my back up the way some employers take the mick. Like I said I'm passionate about my job but when you get told look for a new career what do you do.
  17. Got nothing against the inexperienced, I was one myself and still learning. The point is can you justify charging the same for an inexperienced person as you do for a experienced. I wish it was as easy as go back the next day, when the next day you still have got your full days work to do. I also know my limits . Its hard to explain in full detail [ill be hear forever].So i'll stop posting about it . People take little bits out and proberly get the wrong picture and that's not what I want. I love and have a lot of passion about tree surgery and I am good at what I do. Just wrong time and place for the post I apologize .
  18. I think no one should be put in that situation especially with inexperienced people, surely it goes smoother when you have someone experienced. At least you can trust them to sned out and chip brash for example. Not worrying about if they've gone through the chipper. surely its not your fault because your ex employer can't be arsed to get someone decent in. A lot of people try and cut corners and cost but not when it comes to saftey please. The h.s.e only see people like this, the good hard working people end up getting punished for it higherinsurance more regs for example.
  19. I think what i'm trying to say, is in my experience pressure has a lot to do with it . Try beening the only one qualified in your team pressure of doing the job itself, trying to watch the muppets your working with aswell . It makes your work load twice as hard . In a way I'm lucky I got out of it , but the way I got out wasn't so lucky.
  20. I would say it is down to inexperience eg. just passing and they think they know everything. They should make it compulsory that when diy chainsaws are sold ppe should be part of the package. There is also a lot of pressure to get jobs finished quicker, eg; some employers set a day rate you have to meet but if they under price a job to get it still takes the same time. so you have to work quicker to do it so you earn your rate. [ If it makes sence to anyone].
  21. My kitten kept peeing everywhere so in the end I shot it. only joking as soon as the cats smell iis there it will start going to the tray
  22. Deer Man, They are quite heavy when you first use them, but your arms get use to it. May the force be with you.
  23. stihl hs85 40" bar I use give them loads of stick go on forever .
  24. I think where in the top 10 most dangerous jobs, somewhere inbetween farming and the fishing industry {deadliest catch}. IMO
