  1. ok agreed not law, but guidelines .
  2. I was looking through the nptc website and i was wondering what can you actually do with cs39. Is it just a basic, show you a few different techniques to get you started. By law what does it allow you to do? It doesn't allow you to prune, pollard or section fell because there are other units for that(cs40,46,41). I am just trying to plan ahead eg. council work and various other organisations. Oviously they like to see all your certs. Does time served really apply any more in this health and saftey world. Also is it necessary to have Chipper, hedge trimmer certs or is that going over the top. Any help would be great, Ian

Got my lathe from ebay 80 pound it's a ML8 myford with circular saw attachment (haven't tried it yet tho). I loved doing tree surgery determined to get back into it tho but have a few other sidelines as well.
  9. I would see if there are any shows near you, Craft fairs, gardening shows things like that. Even a good market people will buy it. Regarding price i usually work out how long it took and cost of wood if any, go by hourly rate. search internet for simular products, i've seen simular mushrooms go for 50 to 100 pounds before. I've been wood turning for just over a month thought i'd give it a go, will post pics on another thread.
  10. You both look happy that nothings broken this time. Good job anyway:thumbup1:
  11. The wood and root ball looks small for a 60ft conifier. Looks to much at an angle to winch back up, so i would undercut so it slides down if that makes any sense. Hard to tell by pics. Lucky the person was honest about the car.
  12. Chris, Hope yours will be ok. My utility flooded again, but learnt from the last time so raised dishwasher, washing machine up ect ect. Hope it doesn't get bad like last time i had no electric for almost 2weeks and no water for about 3. Ian
