  1. Is nothing chuffing sacred these days. Sorry to hear about it Nod.
  2. Matty F, I would start with a reduction to see how it goes but also tell them your concerns that it might need to be felled. I don't know much about soil decompaction so I won't comment. only my opinion if it helps.
  3. That's the one, she went because employer was an arse i think.
  4. Well done Anna:wave: I think i reckonize one of them, Can't put a name to the face tho. She use to work with us for a bit, when she first started. The one with the short hair.
  5. IMO, it can do more harm than good, in summer its not just a little bit of sweat you get dehydrated quicker. The weight of them tires you quick. I think its safer without it. I think you can get protection just for your arms, but surely you would have to be doing something seriously wrong to cut your arm.
  6. I'm using a ipaq pda very good so far. I like to keep phone and computer separate, The amount of phones I go through at work.
  7. Count me in it's my birthday then , 30:corkysm21::wave:
  8. Good idea steve, I think i might start making my small list.
  9. Wonder how much you can get away with in your hand luggage or suitcase. My father inlaw goes there 2-3 times a month and the rest of the world for the other part.

I know the feeling, I was in a few weeks ago and the night staff were crap and thats putting it nicely. Asking for pain relief was like asking them to cut their own arm off. They wouldn't let my wife in after the surgery or even tell her if it went ok. Don't get me wrong the day shift were great, But i got the feeling i was been rushed out. So in the end i thought family and friends would do a better job.

Just from a form i got given from my pre op. Just before my op got told i had it:scared:. Had to be tested for 3-4 weeks every week whilst sticking stuff up my nose and scrubbing myself raw. also taking antibiotics. It's not always the hospitals fault, most times its the scanky people who bring it in.
  12. My two done the same too, it really pees them off:proud:

Staphylococcus aureus is a common type of bacteria which lives harmlessly on the skin and in the nose of about one third of the population. This is often referred to as being colonised. When Staphylococcus aureus causes infections, they are commonly treated using methicillin type antibiotics e.g. Flucloxacillin. Sometimes Staphylococcus aureus can be resistant to a range of antibiotics, including Methicillin, hence the name Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
  14. All my spare time is spent with my kids, two girls don't they grow up fast.
  15. At the moment, Main line prussik and side strop distel and pully. Always looking for new ways to make my life easier.
  16. Thanks for the info everyone, looks like i've got a bit of reading to do. I've read through the first link and understand better now.
  17. Why is it done like this , what is the benefit. I want to understand but to me it looks sh*te
  18. Call me stupid 'what do you mean by leave as a monolithe and cornet the top and side branch'. Never heard of it before, everyone has there own way of saying things i suppose. Like masterblaster said 'it is a talkdown' isn't it'. If Not it's what i would call a pikey cut lol..Anyway i'm here to observe and learn. Great site by the way Steve.
  19. I think it's safer to do a hinge or undercut IMO. If there's to much weight the limb could split anytime, i've known it to take a big portion of the tree away before. I suppose every tree reacts differently, It doesn't take long to do an extra cut IMO. Better safe than sorry.
  20. He will even tie some with new cord and mark them up i always prefere to tie my own wouldn't trust anyone else at work to do it, Be lucky if some of them can tie there shoe laces IMO lol. Surely if you make prussiks up to sell then, they have to be tested like any other bit of kit.
  21. The loler inspector we have has started undoing our prussiks and tieing them himself , Dont no why? also the double fishermans loop. I think its a waste of time they are always the wrong length anyway.
  22. No probs, like i said wish it could be more, its probably half a days wages for me at the mo.
  23. just bought some, 5 pound is a lot to some people depending on their circumstances. Usually i'm quite charitable but this time charity will have to start at home i'm affraid . wish it could be more. Cheers Ian
