  1. What do you want it for ? Pulling or actual working in the woods ? For woods tractors i would be looking at N101’s to N120’s or older 6400’s those bigger valtras although they are great at pulling are thirsty and are not manoeuvrable in the woods even the 101 is remarkably harder to negotiate a Wöod thinning in than 6400.... the older 6400’s seem to hold strong money have a good following and have little computers although the earths on some of the cab switch electrics can be grief as they age but easy and obvious to fix if you know ! The bigger six pots are great if all you do is clear fell but I would live with the 4 Potts if you didn’t have many hills and didn’t tow to much , I use a 101 and it is a little lacking bringing on home large loads of beech up hill... fine in the woods although I could live with the 6400 which is very versatile.
  2. I’ve had at least 3 ms200’s do that over the years... easy down when tightening bar studs!
  3. Yeah they are about 4-5 years , they mostly have gone for the broadleaves although they have gone for a few pines along the edges.. I was going to put in for my fire arms myself but that’s all out with the covid thing, I’ve done bits of stalking myself but never actually shot a deer, sat and watched a few from high seats but they where out of season or species been that saved for the German and Dutch shooters.
  4. Ha ha, did yours come with a digital display bill? Last one I brought didn’t and it made pairing a pita
  5. He would go to prison if it killed someone or how far it got pushed by emergency services if they had to respond in the wake of clearing up his feck up especially in these times , how thick can some one be? Further to that how fucking selfish too! .
  6. Excellent post David thank you for your time replying.
  7. What would you suggest David , there is about 20acres of x mass trees and 10 of broadleafs surrounded keilder forest so there are quite a few deer! , I can find where they are getting in and fix but then they are stuck in there... so would need removing completely? They are starting to do a lot of damage.. but if they restore a natural level of strong buck keeping others out I don’t mind ... then again I don’t think there is enough land in the block to maintain even a small population.
  8. Hmmmm obviously the deer fence isn’t working then!
  9. Aye it was going to fall over there would be a few tells , do you know what species of tree failed on your street?
  10. Lots of bare ground around it , thousands of dogs pissing on it ?? or too much glyphosate? Either way the area of wood is not functional in the photo... photos of the rest of the tree crown would give more of an idea if there is any thing going on that would be of concern, that small area of dysfunction on a street tree alone would not worry me... any thing else going on at the base like fruiting fungal bodies ? I would also take this opportunity to say you have more chance of being injured by your wheely bin statistically in the U.K. than a tree injuring ,killing or potentially damaging your house... folk really do need to get out of this mindset that trees are killers and a threat and must be interfered with.
  11. Break them and put the extra drive links in.
  12. SRT alpine on a ring or pinto and it retrievable , great for knocking out big lumps or a back up chogging down.
  13. No Pete I was just being a bit cheeky , I will at some point now it’s getting wet and can’t cut logs! ....thanks.
  14. Have you got one for a mx220 shit slinger Pete [emoji51]
  15. I like them but they are getting on a bit now, will get through most gateways but as soon as you are on any slopes or mud you want dual wheels on , minute each side with an impact wrench. Agree josh , we had one on demo and I think even the rep was embarrassed by it , 252 would run rings actually cutting stumps around it, hydraulic powered cutting wheels just don’t seem to be there yet in putting down cutting torque... your bandits has a belt driven head ?
  16. Could find three holes on the top side ... I do have another 4-5 boards that really need to go as I’m not using them at walnut when stored seems to be the first the little buggers like to find home in. Also have plenty of oak ,burr oak ,yew, Wellingtonia ,spalted beech , rippled olive ash and burred oak if your interested ... oh and some stunning burred Feild maple
  17. I have some 8 years or more air dried walnut , only problem is one or two wood worm holes.. can post pics if your interested, would let them go for £200 a piece plus postage.
  18. I broke one of them after getting swiped in a big Corsican and the replacement would not pair with it so gave up on them... , the others after a few years would not hold charge for long , they where good, but I could not find the originals to match the ones I had I brought, and really didn’t like the new style with no screen it made pairing impossible so tried the upgrade as they definitely make some jobs less stressful. yeah the sennas do not cancel out much noise in comparison and that can get painful if your on the receiving end of a saw for hours.. using s10’s they are easy to pair and keep a good charge though.
  19. Are they more for linking your phone for hands free ? I’m not sure you could pair them to another one or two sets unless they where all linked to phones and using Bluetooth , would or could it cane the phone battery very quickly? you would then have the risk of damaging your phone or maybe I’m not understanding how it works ? Possibly also it could be a pita to connect them all up. To be honest Bill I’ve no idea how these work or there Intended use but just ended up with sennas as they are just quality and easy to connect and use.. only issues I’ve had has been the quick release dropping units in to an abyss of brambles and nettles ! Have taped the release pin up now though!
  20. Noticed a few in the yard last night , 3 days earlier than last year ,they usually coincide with the arrival of the midges and guess what is out in force this morning!
  21. Sell there 150’s for a high price or as much as possible so a the replacement 230 won’t be as much of a drain on finances.. Better than trade in price I guess ?
