Had 27 sea trout last season , this year was for about 6 , they say commercial netting does not effect the runs but it's hard to not think that due to COVID they where not operating at peak run time last year and the result was pretty amazing... I was reading that north East Sea trout go to feed in Norway in deeper waters which is why they get so big unlike the west coat sea trout which just stay off the coast. Any way amazing fish.

Now that's a sea trout!! Caught in the estuary? My PB is 11lb but been in the river and black as owt !! Do get some sparklers earlier in the season though.

Sorry again to read this ....Wankers mate ... from the thieves to the insurance company's .... last time I was turned over they put my claim under investigation as they said it was that secure and the levels I had gone too they thought it was an inside job and they would not pay out... , they did after 3 months but where in the mean time are you going to find the money to replace all saws , climbing and rigging kits and a chipper to keep you working , can't win [emoji35]

It's not dangerous if you follow hse guidelines and have had the correct training then good mentorship once completed to get you up to scratch and stick to it. Accidents should not happen or be happening.

Yeah I think it is when they are accounting for most of the injuries or fatality's , why our insurance premiums go up and why we are surrounded in so much legislation we have to roll with so we can then be undercut by a weekend warriors doing it for beer tokens and the firewood.

Would be good that any pro saw had to be programmed with a current and up to date NPTC qualification for the operator to use ... I would not feel so bad then about taking days off for refresher and thousands on new units that mean absolutely nothing to most customers , would mean only qualified operators could do the jobs too.

Just stand on your feet more upright like rich says , what are you using to advance the hitch ? Hand ascenders can work but you should be aiming to let your legs do the work..kinda the point in it really...

Never had any issues in TW150's with them in... must of had over 20+ sets over the years

I used one the other day without the saw on when I was subbing on a small reduction and was impressed even more so when he said it was from Liddle for less than £15! , wether it would last for commercial use is another thing ! But would definitely be worth it for a few small trees.

After doing the an Arial rescue refresher the other day I was pissed off to find any refresher training could be in house as long as it's recorded ... maybe that's why ??

Having owned a number of 560's and I do like them ,I'd say the ms400 is a better more reliable and powerful saw.

400cm on a 16" and 500i on a 25" would be my two saws of choice.

No ... not unless dismantling ,any large trees are climbed SRT and use a hook to get to places that are difficult , I'm not buying you need spikes to prune trees in the wet ! -

I'll only call off jobs if it's gonna damage lawns or if the vehicles are going to sink in Feild's... I quite enjoy climbing in the rain.... probably for the same demented sadomasochistic reasons I still enjoy this job though. -
They do loosen off but there are ways around that ..I don't like the new buckle release either still after 6 or more months but I do not see any other harness that would come close.. I did send two emails to treeimagineers asking why it had these features but never got any reply.

Not telling you how to do it but I would be very careful felling with a tele-handler I've seen the results of one that got a stem caught on a tine whilst pushing it over on a badly cut hinge and tipped the thing over writing off a brand new manitou! Insurance was invalid as it wasn't to be used for forestry either.

After spending 20 years towing a sub 750kg chipper and reversing off all manor off roads and in to tight drives and driving tractors with forwarding trailers loaded through thinned woods and narrow country lanes I'm pretty sure I don't need to take a test to tow a trailer like most of us ... any one who disagrees Is feeling butt hurt about spending the money or already had it on there licence and that the advantage had helped them make money over competitors ... now it's a level playing Feild.
