  6. it is classed as waste ben. my mate spent hours on the phone top the EA trying to sort it out. he also has had to get an excemtion for burning logs on his home wood burners.
  7. i have to agree with sawdust. if im climbing for someone the work gets done my way. i decide how the work is to be carried out and organise the ground crew accordingly. i think the main company would have to claim on there insurance, but i think they'd then try and claim against yours as far as im aware, but im just a climber.
  8. i take big saws 2 climbing saws, pole saw, big shot, climbing kit, lowering kit, have my own insurance. i'll bring the hobbs, chipper, stump grinder or trailer for extra.
  9. sorry to hear that. if you want to borrow a few saws and hedge cutter or anything till everything is sorted let me know.
  10. as a climber, if im up the tree busting a gut for 4 hours whilst the groundies are dragging there heels dont expect me to jump in and carry them aswell. im more than happy to help out as long as people don't start taking the piss. i think turn up on time, bring all the kit required in working order and no hang over! same goes for anyone working though in my opinion.
  11. bareroots, i might be interested. let me know what he's got. cheers
  12. so have you shot them all yet?
  13. i've got a hobbs, a flying capstan, 3 or 4 pulleys, a 16mm and a 13mm rope, plenty of strops and biners. im pretty happy with it all for now.
  14. i've got a silenced .410 its great for rats. tommer do you use your labs as gun dogs?
  15. ratting is the sport of kings. when i had ferrets i'd never work them on rats though. my border terrier is a keen ratter. i have often told customers they have rats in their barns/compost bins after letting her out for a walk.
  16. Does anybody know of any good websites where you can design and order your own flyers and leaflets?

  18. i'd say if youy want to go on about being an ethical tree surgeon you shouldn't be spiking your pruning jobs or leaving stubbs all the time, especially if you make out that all the other local tree surgeons are a bunch of hacks!
