  4. sawdust, you shouldn't have to pay him anything when im climbing for you. in fact he should pay us both. i'd give him £55/60 a day.

  8. my tipper is still going, its done 170000 miles now and looking a bit tatty. I've got a labrador as well as my terrier so it can be a bit crowded with 2 in the front plus waterproofs and bait boxes. I might take the back off the old pickup and cut it down to fit a crew cab. lee im not gonna start shoveling chip out even if it would only take 10 minutes. im not a big fan of landrovers stu, seem over priced for what they are.
  9. has anyone on here converted a jap 4x4 crew cab to a tipper or know any companies who build them? cheers jp

  12. you showed great confidence in your equipment and team. good work. i liked it when you told the bloke to put his helmet on, that sort of thing gets over looked too much sometimes.
  13. they can also act like that if you haven't changed your fuel filter in a while, or put a bit of dirty red diesel through it.

  15. most of my subbie groundies get about £100 a day up to £150 on some jobs . i think they are worth every penny. climbers normally around £150 a day.

  18. i have a mate who can supply nets bags of logs, he is based near lancaster and would hav no problem keeping up with as many orders as you get. where are you based? i also know a lad near grange who might be of use. are you wanting hardwood or softwood?

  23. the lad who had your valmet traded it in for a tracked chipper i think. it was a shame, he hardly ever used it. it was a great piece of kit. not sure who has it now or if its local. at least i got him to buy it fom you the woodland by the entrance has been flailed to get rid of the rodies hasn it? did hanafins thin that woodland out last time about 7 years ago maybe? i will try and call in this week or next if i get an early finish. be good to see things working.
