  4. Wow thats brave dude .. the very best of luck key tips Be professional , be curteous, be on time , do what you say you will, remember this is a business & there may not always be money & work around, dont spend more than you need, but buy what you can out of surplus profits, remember to keep enough £ back for at least four months incase its quite nov-feb if they ask can you you say yes ,, other than its illegal or against your code of works obviously so take on fencing ,grass cutting whatever it takes too many insist on being sole arbs taking on no other type of work & its not always an easy thing to do ,, finance can be a killer , when you £ are quite as it costs regardless of your work load listen to anyone whos been through it & make your own mind up from as brad a spectrum as you can As the saying goes 'if business was easy then everyone would do it' Its NOT EASY ,, the true test comes when things go wrong ,, mishaps/ breakdowns/ equipment replacements unforeseen costs or you've simply got nothing to do all the best Iain

  10. to the outside world ''its just trees' some take that more seriously than others.. most like trees but it doesnt really register on a day by day level with them We & I do mean all Arbs spend our time walking /driving around & comment on at trees as we go about our day even my wife & kids do it now !! So it must be bad We are in the know .... whereas most merely subconciously appreciate the vista or leafy amenity quality added to the area arborist - treeman tree surgeon - bloke with chainsaw it doesnt really seem to matter whatever we do as 'its just trees'

  14. I would love to have a quid for every time i've been told that oaks & yew cant be cut down as they are nationally protected So As this is a common mis conception could this not be played too ? ie set genus/DBH protections given that a tree of desired retentions should automatically get some note worthyness/ protection that said I can see an attempt to mass eradicate trees by certain tree owenrs prior to an effective date of any legislation being binding just in case then get lumbered..
