  1. the little oxdale splitter would probably work quite well, ive got one that runs off my boxer loader and have always been very happy with it
  2. why do people feel the need to explain anything to them? re iterate your terms of payment and tell them that you will pursue them for the invoice amount plus costs if they exceed the deadline, people soon pay easy

  4. i spliced up a HAAS a while back but have never really got on with it the footloop also makes an aditional redirect if needed

  6. absolute tosh the new pantin is a poorly made, vastly in superior version of the old one. petzl have really dropped one by changing the old design. I know plenty of experienced guys who feel the same way and these guys like myself are using these things daily and in a commercial environment there are some really good alternatives out there right now, the CT version is holding up well for me, and once you get into the habit of reaching down to unclip it, it is fine to use. the benefits of it not unclipping far outway the minor 'annoyance' of having to unclip the Camp Turbo foot seems ok, the small pulleys mean you can ascend with very little rope below your foot (1-2ft) how durable it will be im not sure. the CT and Camp foot ascenders are boot available from treekit Ascenders
  7. just out of interest what sort of pruning do you mean? ie light, natural looking crown reductions and thins?
  8. thinking about getting a Heizohack HM 6-300 to go behind my valmet 8050 I think the minimum required hp is around 120, my valmet must be around 110 maximimum, also how heavy are these machines how much better performance would I see over my tp250 thanks john
  9. personally id have thought the hire costs of a pto chipper for 3months would be getting close to the cost of buying a machine my tp pto chipper was about 5k and easily made its money back in the first job

  13. I don't see why people expect something for nothing, I recommend people for work but would never expect anything in return. in my opinion it only leads to negative feeling and discontentment
