  1. this is the one im looking at Jensen A141 Woodchipper its difficult to find much info on the 141 i had considered adapting the tp, but im might hang onto it to put on another machine as although the paintworks not brilliant it is a solid chipper
  2. ive had my boxer stuck twice, when you get them stuck they are proper stuck!!

  6. I tried calling Vermeer about getting a grapple, nobody called me back though.... il probably end up getting the branch manager grapple from the states through treestuff
  7. its the poverty spec, most basic gopro they do, not sure about the black border, il have to look into the settings on windows movie maker just fancied a climb on the wrench really, though ive not really got jumping on the bone dialled yet and I knew id have to swing out to climb onto the failed top which rope, rigging or climbing line? it had failed at an inclusion fairly flat mate appologies for the lack of sound, youtube removed the music and I didn't realise as I was just headed to the pub it should have been this [ame] [/ame]
  8. video number two, nice little job for first thing Friday morning. The top of a Maritime pine failed during high winds and lodged itself onto of a Scots pine. tried to winch it out with the GRCS but it wouldn't budge so ended up piecing it out will we could move it with the GRCS [ame] [/ame]

  12. regardless of which is best money/ less work etc the question is do you want to climb trees? you may not have a natural ability for it
  13. kanga cant lift a lot compared to boxer or Vermeer that video isn't really fair, they are two completely different systems and so arnt really comparable, plus im not sure ive ever driven over a pallet with my boxer boxer are hopeless at returning calls but when you actually get hold of them their service is very good and the machines are brilliant

  16. david, if most of your work is currently grass cutting, hedging and small treeworks im not sure what this thread is for, just keep doing what your doing and a business will grow however without experience and some major investment on the equipment front you wont be doing large scale treeworks anytime soon and I hate to break your bubble but banks don't tend to loan large sums of money without a proven track record and even then its not easy these days. A tree business is not going to be handed to you on a plate!!

  19. I bought orange plants boxer had it 3 years now, such a versatile machine, we don't use it as much since I got my valmet and roofmount but its still invaluable on the right job

  23. pleased with mine so far, added a small shackle to the tending hole to make it easier to clip into, but thinking about making a small cord attachment point around the top link

  25. Started a hedge removal, 7 trees done today and 5 truck loads of chips. 3 phone lines, power cable, carport, fences and some other obstacles for good measure. Reckon there will be 3 tractor and trailer loads of timber on the last day Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
