The questions I always ask are,who owns the woodland or trees, who requested the report and for what purpose, and I occasionally ask how much do you want to spend I go from there. No point going into massive detail, if its a small woodland owned by a housing association, and there main concern is H&S, on the same token a bare bones job won't be adequate for a commercial report on a parcel of valuable hardwood. Key word here is ''communication'' anyway how have you got on so far Hama?

I suggest you get in touch with a good solicitor and get advice from them, rather than going to the council, the less the council know the better IMO

And the big difference is we a dealing in general with urban trees, messing about with a low traffic woodland ecology is beyond the scope of us mere mortals...

Trust me, compost tea DOES work, and it works very well indeed, last year I planted 6 rows of sweet corn, 3 rows were occasionally drenched in a compost tea the other 3 not, the difference was staggering... This year I am trialling compost tea as a pest fighter broad beans and black fly, so far a noticeable difference............. Its whats in the brew that makes all the difference, but as you say teas need the full nine yards to work super efficiently, mulch, oxygen, water .................

They arn't technically the ''only'' way to go, but I agree respiratory protection, is essential, I have been guilty along with others of others for neglecting this essential piece of equipment, I have the same powered respirator as in Andrews picture, not bad for the money TBH. Anyway cant talk as off to brew another batch of aerated compost tea for a job tomorrow, yummy compost tea [worm compost] and fish emulsion..............

All that means is Bartletts are offering the service, I take all knews like this with a very large pinch of salt. I hear Tescos are now saying their cheaper own brand 'hot chocolate'' tastes as good if not better than the rest.....

I have to be honest mate it looks boring! a mate of mine [years in the advertising/marketing industry] told me a few months ago, if it doesn't look really interesting at first glance, they won't read it, I said to him, I've spent thousands on advertising over the years and you're the first person to tell me that, my own site is pathetically boring! i'm in the process of getting it changed............ Suggestions, more colour, more big pictures..... -
When the AA stop suggesting the majority of us [non AA contractors] are a load of ''rub outs'' I might, just might consider going to their show!

IMO the AA show lacks character,TBH it feels like another money grabbing venture the AA are so fond of, its a bit like Saltex, the APF and Capel Manor are by far the best two shows, I'll definitely be at the APF! P.S shouldn't the AA be a registered company? using charity status doesn't fool anyone! sorry if I sound harsh, but this is what we all think...

I think individual pots might of been better Dean, less root disturbance, cheap plastic cups with a hole in the bottom work well, anyway great results so far well done
