  1. Mr Ed

    sentinel

We used to climb on them all the time. And the early one way locking crabs with the nylon twistlock. Never did me any harm!
  2. Humph. I thought I had invented the triangle cut. Now it seem s everybody is doing it
  3. At least you would'nt have had infeed problems with the 150... Why did'nt you go for a narrow chassis 90?
  4. I was at a fuelwood conference recently - there are companies selling a cube dumpy bag of logs for £120! and they are very very busy. As for delivered timber, budget £25 -£40 per tonne delivered in.
  5. Svensk Tradvard85, DeGouret Lichfield. oh about 15 years ago, maybe more.
  6. Ahh. Did do some work in Stockholm years ago, but no further north.
  7. Dean, I sugest talking to him in a language he will understand. e.g.- Grab him by the collar, stick a sawn off 12 bore in his mouth, and calmly suggest a sensible course of action for him to follow. Also suggest the unpleasant consequences of foolish retaliatory actions, and the chances of his head remaining on his shoulders should he try anything silly. I'm sure he'll see your point of view.
  8. Nice work. Whereabouts in Sweden?
  9. Ha. cool vid, cooler tune.
  10. I reckon the MEWP would have been cheaper than renting in a suitable tractor and winch, + you would probably have done a lot more ground damage.
  11. Yeah! cos, like, That never happens round here!
  12. Poof:001_tongue:
  13. True Bob and Dave - But I know Rupe.... And if he felt a MEWP was best, I'd support his decision. (although I would have climbed it without a thought)
  14. No:001_smile:
  15. dunno, but I was struggling (ish) to get them on. Reckon on at least 10 tonnes per tree.
  16. Clearing Bens Poplars. Damn big trees, wood full of water and very heavy!
  17. flippin' heck. It comes to something when the horses mouth tells pork pies. The people I spoke too at EA (after speaking to loads of muppets there) assured me that the info given was the final word on the matter. Really does'nt give you much faith in their competance does it? I need both the licence and a paragraph 13 exemption as we are starting to recycle waste timber, but at least tree services can rest easy. Thanks Quickthorn.
  18. Out of respect, Its Steve's Forum. If he wishes to invite the EA on here, I'll leave it to him.
  19. Well done! how did you get it so quick?
  20. Watching AxeMen on the telly has convinced me how good our system is. If people (like the tree officer Rupe mentions) choose to be pig headed and ignorant, and not apply common sense, its not the fault of the system. I would like to see a Combined 38 - 39 - 40 - 41 course with single assesment.
  21. Yup, truck too. Trading up, if I get the right price.
  22. Nice one Ben. Soon have that lot cleared with the forwarder.
  23. Its a Promark chipper shredder combo. Promark were later painted red and badged as Gravely chippers when they were bought out by Ariens. the designs on the whole range are now owned by MB-Co of Wisconsin. Ditto on the knives - send the old ones to Simon at Saturn, and he will make new ones for you.
  24. We tried loads of ways to do it, never worked. Mate of mine bought a kindla, marvelous piece of kit.
  25. It will however, make his wallet a little heavier...
