  1. Somewhere, on film. Barry took a disposable kodak up with him when we did it, but I cant find the pics.
  2. full pic -
  3. Sorry, but I can beat that. This is Schloss Hiedelberg in Bavaria. Me and Barry Shannahan spent weeks clearing the Ivy off... all on rope and harness. (your job does look awful though Steve)
  4. Good to meet you Ben.
  5. Tradesman's entrance. Like that wont get a snigger. Chortle.

only 27cc? useless. the 338 is much better.
  8. yes, all the bigger bandits have it - but it needs a more complex hydralic curcuit to achieve what you say. on th econehead you could set the reverse delay time, say for very wet cloggy material, to allow the discharge chute to clear.
  9. Price would be less than £100k.
  10. So you didnt like the 1175 then. It is just your opinion... What is it you dont like about the auto feed? you realize that they are fully programmanble? you can set the stop, delay, reverse time, everything.
  11. Yeah. its a half woodsman half euro design. Not bad, but complex and expensive (in my very humble experience). What did you think of it? Edit- I would have stopped by to say hello, in fact we searched the static arena for you -but did'nt want to get collared by mike:D
  12. Woodsman? yuck, I dont like them much after using one. This is a cheap biomass chipper, very competative price. As for bringing one in, not likely, as my credit source has dried up with recent crunches:sad:
  13. Got some pictures from the factory when I got home. Thought I'd pop them up for interest.

I was there to meet friends and chat, do a bit of business. Equipment is just a sideline really. Until my own chippers and grinders are fully ready, I wont be paying for stands.
  16. Ha. It would need more than that tiddly hairdressers 4x4 of yourn to pull my Patrol away.
  17. mine was about 20 yards from the entrance. One of the benefits of being there at 8 oclock...

Had a good ime on saturday, although friday nights session slowed my brain to a crawl in the morning. I love big kit, but got a little fazed out /bored about halfway round the ring. It was an interesting show for me because I cleared 10 hectare of pine at the bottom end of the site 5 years ago, so it was good to go back, and cleared 6 hectares of birch 2 months ago. I like Cannock chase, and think it makes a good venue. My best fun this year was wandering around with Skyhuck telling filthy jokes to the AA guys and nicking freebies off the stands. Great fun, it was good to meet you Dave. Oh, and to those who complain about to much forestry kit and not enough Arb, think on what the show is called - Association of Proffesional Forestors show...

You wont. Unless you have a turnover in the millions, you wont get in. You will have to work for a main contractor, who invairiably will fleece you blind and see you bankrupt. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but its the voice of experience

    Knee Pain

Mine dont hurt (much) but it crunches and crackles when I straighten up the joint. sounds pretty unpleasant. I'm certain its years of locked knees on spikes, and shock loads / impacts.
  24. It was shown in the US a few months ago. There is a long thread at the TreeHouse on it...
  25. Betcha your undercarriage is Hinowa Dean. The supply about 35% of all tracked undercarriages worldwide.
